Abstract: A method for sampling momentary blood glucose levels, especially in the context of self-performed measurements conducted by a diabetes patient or by a user who assists the patient. Also provided are methods for estimating long-term blood glucose levels and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) concentration and methods for estimating blood glucose variance from the data obtained with the sampling method. The sampling method is based on a measurement of momentary blood glucose level data at randomly distributed sampling moments. The advantage obtained with this method is that averages calculated from measurements conducted at randomly distributed sampling moments are independent of periodically recurring events in the user's daily or weekly routines. The systematic errors arising from such routines can therefore be avoided.

Said network browser is used to locate and download a stored file and the contents of the downloaded stored file are interpreted. The interpreted contents of the downloaded stored file are used to control said call.
