  • Patent number: 10572162
Abstract: A computerized method is disclosed in which an automation device stores, in a parameter storage, application-related parameters, each parameter uniquely identifying a specific automation device application. The automation device also stores, in an application repository, automation device applications as separate computer program entities. The automation device may detect a pre-determined act, performed by a user, the predetermined act comprising the user selecting via a user interface an application-related parameter among the application-related parameters stored in the parameter storage. Based on the detecting, the automation device retrieves, from the application repository to an execution memory, the automation device application corresponding to the selected application-related parameter, wherein the retrieved automation device application is executable from the execution memory, in order to drive the automation device for an application-related purpose.

Abstract: A computerized method is disclosed in which an automation device stores (201), in a parameter storage, application-related parameters, each parameter uniquely identifying a specific automation device application. The automation device also stores (202), in an application repository, automation device applications as separate computer program entities. The automation device may detect (203) a pre-determined act performed by a user, the predetermined act comprising the user selecting via a user interface an application-related parameter among the application-related parameters stored in the parameter storage. Based on the detecting (203), the automation device retrieves (204), from the application repository to an execution memory, the automation device application corresponding to the selected application-related parameter, wherein the retrieved automation device application is executable from the execution memory, in order to drive the automation device for an application-related purpose.

  • Patent number: 8683327
Abstract: A frequency converter includes a symbol string editor in which the potential input symbols are grouped into at least two symbol lists. One of the lists is treated as a current symbol list, which can be scrolled and from which the symbols can be selected as the user input. In addition, a user is allowed to control change of the current symbol list such that the symbols in all of the symbol lists are available for selection. This arrangement allows for scrollable lists to be significantly shorter than a single list of potential symbols would be, which makes entering symbol strings faster.

  • Publication number: 20090138669
Abstract: The present invention relates to a frequency converter (1) comprising a memory (M1) for storing data; a controller (8) for controlling the operation of the frequency converter by utilizing data (DATA1) stored in the memory (M1); and an interface (10) for connecting the frequency converter to other frequency converters. For efficient and simple backuping and restoration of the backup copy, the frequency converter comprises a backup application (9) for backuping the data (DATA1) stored in the memory (M1) of the frequency converter by retrieving data stored in the memory of the frequency converter and by transmitting the data retrieved over the interface (10) to at least one other frequency converter for storage in a memory (M2, M3) of said at least one other frequency converter; and maintains a backup copy (DATA2, DATA5) of at least one other frequency converter by storing the data received over the interface (10) from said at least one other frequency converter in the memory (M2, M3).
