  • Publication number: 20140304172
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for security algorithm methods in authorizing and linking devices associated with a customer. A first device can be linked to a customer account. Additional devices can be linked to the customer account. Those devices can be authenticated to perform banking operations using dual factor authentication wherein a customer's login information is a first factor and the customer using a previously authenticated device is a second factor. By using additional methods of authentication, transactions can be done more reliably and securely.

  • Publication number: 20130297513
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for multi factor security authentication algorithm methods in authorizing and using client devices to perform banking transactions. A customer can register and associate a client device with their account. The customer can further create unique login information associated with their account. A customer's login information, client device, and a push confirmation must be verified for accuracy prior to allowing the customer to perform banking operations. Using multi factor authentication process, banking transactions can be performed more reliably and securely.

  • Publication number: 20130218779
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for security algorithm methods in authorizing and using digital certificates to perform banking transactions. A customer can register and associate a personal identification number with a digital certificate. The personal identification number can be used by a client device to generate a certificate request. A request to perform a banking transaction along with a certificate request can be sent to a bank server, where, upon authorization of a valid certificate request, the banking operation can be performed. Using the digital certificate as one authentication factor and a customer login and password as a second authentication factor, banking transactions can be performed more reliably and securely.

  • Publication number: 20130159195
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques that authenticate and authorize a mobile device to conduct transactions over a network with a banking server. Once a mobile device is authenticated, the server generates a client device identifier and a secret key, which is then stored on the mobile device. In response to a transaction request sent by the mobile device, the server authorizes a session by generating a random code and communicates the random code to the mobile device. By using a combination of the secret key and the random code, the mobile device generates two keys, a hash code and a symmetrical key. The server receives the hash code and the unique client device identifier, and based upon a determination, authorizes the transaction on the banking server.

  • Publication number: 20130139222
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and techniques that generate one-time passwords in a banking server in order to authenticate a mobile device for transactional functions related to a user account. At least two one-time passwords are generated at the banking server and communicated to the mobile device via different communication pathways. A first communication pathway is encrypted and a second pathway is non-encrypted.
