  • Patent number: 7660736
Abstract: A method of valuing products based on demand probabilities. Products are designed by identifying product components, and combining the components in various combinations to provide standard and non-standard products. Components are valued using an algorithm that considers demand probability as well as known prices of standard products. The component values are added to determine product values and may be used to make pricing and order fulfillment decisions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 20, 2006
Date of Patent: February 9, 2010
    Assignee: i2 Technologies US, Inc.
    Inventor: Vibhu K. Kalyan

  • Patent number: 6826538
Abstract: A method of calculating supplies of key components based on enhancing revenues in a made to order scheme. Products are designed by identifying product components, and combining the components in various combinations. Key component supplies are calculated using an algorithm that considers demand probability of component and product as well as calculating the marginal value of each component.

  • Patent number: 6266655
Abstract: A method of valuing resources of an asset intensive manufacturer. Calculations provide a MAV for each resource (machine) for each time horizon. The inputs for the calculations include the prices of products made by the resource, probalistic demand for the products, usage of the resource by various products, and availability of the resource. A series of equations, one equation associated with each resource, is formulated and solved, using lagrangian methods, with lagrangian multipliers representing resource values.
