  • Patent number: 8869617
Abstract: The invention relates to a method, to a device for electronic characterization, and to a measurement cell and support for monitoring a chemical or physical process with results that can be assessed in terms of the weight variation of a coating deposited on a piezoelectric sensor, exposed to a fluid medium with stable physical properties. The invention uses the deduction of an analytic expression establishing a simple connection between the phase variation of a fixed-frequency signal, which queries the piezoelectric resonator, and the variation in the bulk density of the coating. The invention is suitable for implementations that use piezoelectric resonators for characterizing biochemical and electrochemical processes, such as, inter alia: piezoelectric biosensors and immunosensors, process and material characterization by AC electrogravimetry, detection of dissolved chemical or biological substances.

  • Publication number: 20130221997
Abstract: A method and a device for monitoring the insulation resistance in an ungrounded electrical network having a constant-voltage d.c. link and at least one inverter, connected to it, for controlling an n-phase electrical consumer in an n-phase network. A voltage to be monitored, is determined during operation of the consumer, which represents a voltage fluctuation of supply voltage potentials of the constant-voltage d.c. link with respect to a reference potential. In addition, a variable characterizing an electrical frequency of the electrical consumer is determined, particularly an electrical angular speed of the electrical consumer. A first spectral amplitude of the voltage to be monitored at the n-fold electrical frequency of the electrical consumer, is compared to a first reference value, and detects a symmetrical insulation error in the constant-voltage d.c. link or the n-phased network, if the comparison yields a deviation of the first spectral amplitude from the first reference value.

  • Patent number: 8512518
Abstract: The invention consists in a security paper, as well as the security document obtained with it and the manufacturing process thereof, that combines the security elements called windowed thread with the high contrast single-tone watermark technique. In order to carry out this invention, we make use of the recesses created to cover the thread in the areas where it is visible, which exhibit a greater accumulation of fibers and are therefore opaque areas in the final paper, to insert therein the electrotype or high contrast single-tone watermarks.
