Abstract: The present disclosure concerns a probiotic composition comprising an effective amount of a probiotic product and an acceptable carrier. The probiotic composition can be used in favoring wellness and facilitating self-control in a subject who had been on a restrictive diet, is currently on the restrictive diet and/or intends to be on the restrictive diet. The probiotic product comprises at least one of a population of probiotic bacteria from a Lactobacillus genus and/or a microbial component derived from the population of the probiotic bacteria.
