  • Patent number: 4321673
Abstract: An electronic game is housed in an enclosure that is free-standing and accessible by many players or in a structure suitable for one player. The game duplicates much of the sight and sound associated with conventional roulette. One embodiment includes a circular matrix of light emitting diodes (LEDs) of red and green color that provides for the simulation of the roulette wheel by circulating the fixed numerical sequence of a standard roulette wheel in "marquee" fashion. The roulette ball is duplicated by a circle of lights just outside of the aforementioned circular number matrix. Sounds of the roulette ball spinnings are electronically generated and reproduced by a loudspeaker. The player is allowed to electronically "spin" the wheel and electronically "spin" the ball at the start of each game. An automatic mode is provided wherein the game automatically spins the ball and wheel at varying speeds.
