  • Patent number: 11960799
Abstract: Introduced here computer programs and associated computer-implemented techniques for generating measurements of physical structures and environments in an automated matter through analysis of data that is generated by one or more sensors included in a computing device. This can be accomplished by combining insights that are derived through analysis different types of data that are generated, computed, or otherwise obtained by a computing device. For instance, a computer program may enable or facilitate measurement of arbitrary dimensions, angles, and square footage of a physical structure based on (i) images generated by an image sensor included in the corresponding computing device and (ii) measurements generated by an inertial sensor included in the corresponding computing device.

  • Publication number: 20040030574
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention include a product warranty program that can be offered to cover damage to products that deteriorate through improper consumer use. The product warranty program comprises one or more product monitors and a product warranty agreement. The product monitors provide for convenient product monitoring to help ensure and facilitate that product's proper use, thereby protecting the user from product failure caused at least in part by excessive wear and/or the improper use. Moreover, the product warranty agreement warrants, among other things, that when the product monitors are properly used, the consumer is protected from, for example, repair and/or replacement costs of the product.

  • Patent number: 4484055
Abstract: A welder comprises a tubular support, a collar in the tubular support and a copper-coated carbon rod in the collar which extends coaxially therein. The collar is connected through a slot in the wall of the support to an exterior operating member, said operating member being operable so as to move the rod axially of the tubular support to a position adjacent a workpiece to enable an electric arc to be formed between the rod and the workpiece. A plurality of prongs is provided at one end of said tubular support, said prongs having free ends arranged to engage the workpiece at spaced apart positions adjacent the area where the arc is to be struck. Resilient means is provided to produce a bias which acts against the movement of the rod towards the workpiece.
