  • Patent number: 5341374
Abstract: A token ring local area network integrates voice, data and image information over a single cable with voice packets having a higher priority than non-voice packets, and with all the voice packets having the same length and the maximum non-voice packet length being related to the voice packet length and to the maximum number of terminals in the network so as to ensure real-time voice reception. Call processing functions are fully distributed among the voice terminals without the use of a centralized processing unit or a centralized data base. Conference calls are effected by each party transmitting conference packets to a single destination party, with conference packets having a unique packet format wherein a single packet incorporates voice information from plural terminals so as to minimize the number of packets traversing the ring.

  • Patent number: 4507962
Abstract: A digital barometric altimeter has an electrical pressure transducer juxtaposed with a pitostatic port, and has a processor located remotely from the port, interconnected with the transducer by an analog-to-digital converter. The processor filters the pressure-responsive data, linearizes it, and converts it to altitude-representative data, using a "jump-and-converge" procedure. The altitude-representative output may be supplied to a display or other utilization device.

  • Patent number: 4337402
Abstract: A motion sensing switch and circuit associated therewith, the switch including a cylindrical non-conductive sleeve housing having circumferentially spaced parallel rib contacts etched on the interior thereof, all the rib contacts being electrically connected together for providing a first switch member with a conductive ball shaped member resiliently suspended in spaced proximate relation to the contact, the conductive member being electrically connected for providing a second switch contact with the electrical circuit providing a pulsed output proportional to the number of rib contacts wiped by the conductive ball during movement of the sensor.
