Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms for wireless data transfer, and more particularly, to the search of mobile devices, establish connections, and exchange information between mobile devices using cellular communication channels as well as different modes of IEEE 802.11 standard sets. The methods of mobile device connections include establishing direct connections between devices and/or establishing connections via a special server (e.g., when direct connections between devices are impossible, impractical, and/or not convenient).

Abstract: System and method for advertising on mobile devices, wherein an application installed on the device is linked with a device side component capable of requesting an advertisement, displaying the advertisement, and reporting the user reaction to the advertisement, assisted by an advertising server, such that the effort to implement advertisement support on the part of the application developer may be reduced (e.g., minimized) compared to other typical advertising systems and methods.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms for methods and systems for the detection of fraudulent advertisement views of advertiser supported content on mobile devices through the analysis of data and of data exchange between groups of mobile devices and an advertising server. The data analysis is carried out by comparing statistical data spectra of different mobile device groups to detect unusual levels of advertisement views within a mobile device group. The data analysis provides a high guarantee of fraud detection of illegitimate advertisement views for sponsoring advertisers. Embodiments detect non-meaningful ad display requests or clickthroughs, identify bots among application users and provide an estimate of the number bots.
