  • Patent number: 11234422
Abstract: The movable tail on a fishing lure having a flexible caudal stalk basically comprises a pair of laterally opposing sides, a plurality of fin rays, upper and lower lobes, laterally projecting central drafts and upper and lower lips, and a rear surface. The fin rays extend rearwardly from the caudal stalk on each of the opposing sides of the tail. The upper and lower lobes are disposed rearwardly of the fin rays. The central drafts are disposed rearwardly of the fin rays on the opposing sides of the tail. The upper lips extend between the central draft and the upper lobe on the opposing sides, and the lower lips extend between the central drafts and the lower lobe on the opposing sides. The rear surface extends over an area defined by the upper and lower lobes, the central drafts, and the upper and lower lips.

  • Publication number: 20150278462
Abstract: A system and method are provided for determining a probability of healthcare fraud and for providing a report identifying the determined probability to a Healthcare Provider or Payer. For example, the system verifies insurance eligibility using a presenting individual's insurance card and an officially issued government ID card (i.e., one for which the issuing Agency maintains an electronic photograph on file of the individual to whom the ID card was issued) and/or a biometric of the presenting individual. Additionally, data is collected from Electronic Medical Records, analyzed and packaged to identify possible fraud.

  • Publication number: 20140279504
Abstract: A request for a purchase code may be received from a portable computing device (PCD) from a communications network. The request may further include a purchase amount and location information of the PCD. The system determines if a funding account has sufficient funds to cover the purchase amount. If the funding account has sufficient funds to cover the purchase amount, then the system generates a single-use time limited purchase code to the PCD. The system may receive the purchase code from a POS terminal and then it may determine if the received purchase code matches purchase code issued to the PCD. The system may compare the location of the PCD against the POS terminal. If a requested transaction amount is less than or equal to the purchase amount and if the purchase codes and location information match, then they system may generate a message approving the transaction.

  • Patent number: 7984879
Abstract: A flow control actuator 10 for a body exposed to fluid flow comprises first and second flow surfaces 14, 16 spaced to define an elongate gap 20 therebetween. An elongate control element is disposed in or adjacent the gap and has an externally facing arcuate surface and defines a first slot 24 between the control element and said first flow surface and a second slot between said control element and said second flow surface 26. The control element 22 is moveable to allow the width of said slots to be adjusted generally proportionally. The flow of pressurized flow control fluid passes from a plenum chamber 30 out through one or both slots 24, 26 to be deflected around the arcuate surface under the influence of the Coanda effect. The flow control actuator 10 may be provided in the trailing or leading edge of an aerofoil; alternatively it may be provided between two surfaces spaced to provide said gap but otherwise providing a generally continuous surface.

  • Publication number: 20070056486
Abstract: Furniture can be fabricated using a number of modular structural components that are manufactured according to a geometric formula that produces a system of orthogonically interconnectable support members that can be assembled to produce several different articles from the same organization of components. The modular components can be made of exotic hardwoods and by use of the modular components allows for low cost storage and shipping by reduction of bulk normally associated with furniture pieces. The orthogonically coupling joints provide linear compression binding and a balance orthogonal seating geometry.
