Abstract: Compositions for coating food, beverage, and consumer product containers. Compositions and methods for coating the surfaces of beverage, food, consumer good and packaging-related materials containers are disclosed. The disclosed compositions employ butadiene polymers as a component of non-volatile component, thus avoiding the use of bisphenol A and related compounds, which are asserted by some researchers to be potentially harmful to human health. The coating compositions may be used on a wide variety of containers, ranging from small plastic containers, beverage cans, canned food containers, and multi-gallon drums and canisters.
