  • Patent number: 7316506
Abstract: An apparatus to combine temperature indicator sticks used in the welding, metal fabrication, and heat treatment industries and capable of identifying at least two given temperatures is disclosed. The apparatus includes a first temperature indicator stick aligned along a first axis and comprised of a compound which melts at a first temperature, and a second temperature indicator stick aligned along a second axis and formed of another compound which melts at a second temperature. The apparatus also includes a connector physically connecting and aligning the first and second indicator sticks.

  • Publication number: 20050249570
Abstract: A multi-channel flat valve assembly comprises multiple fluid channels which are effectively defined within the multi-channel flat valve assembly by means of laterally or transversely spaced heat-sealed regions. Accordingly, when the dunnage or cargo air bag is inflated, whereby the forces acting upon the oppositely disposed plastic sheets defining or comprising the flat valve assembly would tend to cause separation of the oppositely disposed plastic sheets with respect to each other and cause the flat valve assembly to attain an OPENED state, the disposition or presence of the heat sealed regions defining the multiple fluid channels effectively intercepts the propagation of such forces whereby the flat valve assembly tends to remain in its CLOSED state so as to effectively preserve the INFLATED state of the dunnage or cargo air bag, or considered alternatively, the dunnage or cargo air bag does not undesirably or inadvertently achieve a DEFLATED state.

  • Patent number: 5685053
Abstract: A method of removing labels utilizing an associated delabeling apparatus has a spaced pair of label removal stations for alternatively receiving inline objects from a supply conveyor. Each station includes a carrier carrying a set of spaced fluid jet cutters each at a cutting location for registration with a labeled object. An actuator is connected to the carriers for alternatively moving them from respective start to stop positions and return to traverse each cutter from a bottom to a top end of a registered label to cut it end to end. Each location has a fluid nozzle positioned to emit a stream of fluid against a label being removed and a friction finger element to assist in label removal.
