  • Publication number: 20070137454
Abstract: A container is provided for dispensing selected portions of a web material retained on a roll. The container includes a substantially hollow dispenser tube, a track-guided cutting assembly and end caps securing the dispenser and track structure. The dispenser has an elongated opening in a portion of the side wall thereof. The end caps include a groove substantially corresponding to the profile shape of the dispenser, a projection substantially corresponding to the inner diameter of the roll, and a cutter track holder to secure the cutting assembly adjacent the opening in the dispenser.

  • Publication number: 20070000935
Abstract: A container for dispensing selected portions of a web material and a method of making such a container. The container is arranged to contain the web material and has an opening through which the web material can be led out of the container. A track is positioned such that web material led out of the container through the opening can be laid across the track. A cutter is capable of sliding along the track and of cutting web material laid across the track. At least in a packaged configuration for shipping, the track and cutter do not extend beyond an outline of the container.

  • Publication number: 20060086863
Abstract: A spool is provided having opposing identical end flanges coupled to a central barrel. An annular rim portion of the flanges is provided with a plurality of openings positioned at different radial and circumferential positions. The openings are sized such that if the openings were rotated into angular alignment, the openings would span the annular rim portion from an inner radius to an outer radius. The openings thus allow a user to view contents of the spool. Each flange may further provide a generally semi-circularly shaped recess sized and shaped to receive a winding dog.

  • Publication number: 20050139723
Abstract: A winding device includes a barrel defining a primary winding area and an auxiliary winding area. A flange wall separates the primary and auxiliary winding areas. A guide pathway directs a flexible material between the primary and auxiliary winding areas and includes opposite end segments curving in a circumferential direction. The pathway also includes a transition segment between the end segments in which the circumferential direction of curvature is reversed to provide for simultaneous winding of material in the primary and auxiliary winding areas. The device may include inserts received within the barrel having channels formed in an outer surface to define the pathway between the inserts and the barrel. Alternatively, the device may include a flange body defining an interior and a cover enclosing the interior. Structure having correspondingly formed first and second parts respectively carried by flange body and cover define the pathway within the interior.

  • Patent number: 6269983
Abstract: A dispenser is provided for sprinkling a preset quantity of granted material, such as table salt. The dispenser comprises a granulated material reservoir, an enclosure, a metering cup, a cap, a collector and a diffuser. The reservoir has a side, a top and a bottom wall. The enclosure encases the reservoir side wall and is closed at one end by a cap adjacent to the reservoir bottom wall. The metering cup is positioned in the cap and an opening in the reservoir bottom wall communicates with and fills the metering cup. A collector is positioned adjacent to the top wall of the reservoir. A passageway formed between the reservoir sidewall and the enclosure communicates with the metering cup and collector. The diffuser is positioned adjacent to an opening in the collector and opposite the collector. When the dispenser is in the upright position, granulated material from the reservoir fills the metering cup.

  • Patent number: 6109470
Abstract: A container for refrigerated dough or other expandable products and a condiment cup therein for containing icing and the like includes the following construction. The container has an elongate cylindrical body with an interior wall of a predetermined diameter and end closures. The condiment cup is of a flexible plastic generally cup-shaped construction having a generally cylindrical side wall closed at one end by a dome-shaped convex end and open at the other end. The cylindrical side wall has an outside diameter only slightly less than the diameter of the container interior wall so as to provide a loose friction fit when the condiment cup is positioned within the container cylindrical body portion. The condiment cup is filled with condiment and positioned within the container at one end of the cylindrical body portion with the open end of the cup facing the end closure at the one end.

  • Patent number: 5427322
Abstract: This invention is directed towards improvements in collapsible dye tubes, commonly referred to as dye springs. The dye springs of the present invention are characterized in that they are resiliently compressible and are further able to withstand elongation. The dye spring has a surface area of cylindrical shape with elements disposed between rings at the end of the tube. The elements insure that the dye spring surface area remains open when the dye spring is in a compressed state so that dye will be able to flow radially outwardly through the tube and thereby dye the yarn wound around the tube. The elements further insure that the degree of elongation experienced by the spring during winding operations is substantially diminished or even eliminated.
