  • Patent number: 12270636
Abstract: Disclosed is a strain calculation method and system for phase-sensitive optical coherence elastography (PhS-OCE), including the following steps: obtaining interference spectra for various states during sample deformation, and extracting spectral information including multiple amplitude maps and multiple phase maps from these interference spectra. In the present disclosure, the speckle decorrelation phenomenon in PhS-OCE can be eliminated, the measurement range is expanded, and tangential displacement fields and strain fields can be measured by PhS-OCE technique while ensuring high axial sensitivity in strain measurement.

  • Patent number: 11433931
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring a track and/or rail employs one or more distance measuring imagers mounted to a railcar and directed to image the track and/or rails wherein the images are geo-tagged with location data. Geo-tagged distance measurements are processed to determine at least track gauge and/or at least rail fastener integrity. The system and method may also determine other track and/or rail integrity issues including, e.g., rail profile, rail alignment, center point dip, cross level, rail cant, wheel wear, wheel integrity, rail wear, rail defects, and/or rail temperature. The system and method may also determine when inspection and/or maintenance of the track is indicated, and provide selected records of where and/or when such inspection and/or maintenance is indicated.

  • Publication number: 20030188027
Abstract: The invention illustrates a system and method of translating commands between a 1394 network and an IP network. The invention is configured to allow 1394 enabled devices to communicate with a variety of interfaces and devices through an IP network. The method for translating a command comprises: receiving the command via an IP network; translating the command into a 1394 message; and transmitting the 1394 message to a recipient 1394 device. The method may further parse the command into a unique device identifier portion and an AV/C command portion. The AV/C command portion would comprise the 1394 message, and the unique device identifier portion would correspond to a dynamic address for the 1394 message addressed to the recipient 1394 device.
