Abstract: A series of spaced apart track segments provide a path for the rolling of a marble from beginning to end. The track segments have a magnetic strip attached to one outer surface so that they can be mounted on a ferromagnetic wall such as a door or sidewalls or refrigerator. This provides for a user the ability to configure a wide variety of pathways for a rolling marble and to include on that pathway certain gaps.

Abstract: A control system for selectively illuminating fluorescent light units in a fluorescent fixture having a plurality of fluorescent light units. A control system employs a first relay which when energized connects one of the light units to energizing power and a second relay which when energized connects a second and third light unit to energizing power. The control switch has one position in which the first relay is energized to turn on the first light unit and a second position in which the second relay is energized to turn on the second and third light units. The control switch also has a third position in which both relays are energized thereby turning on all three light units. Current steering through diodes in the switch and at the relays permits a single wire to be employed connecting the switch at a convenient manually accessible area to the relays at the fluorescent light fixture.

Abstract: An ornament, such as a menorah, is controlled by a microprocessor. The ornament has a LED circuit operably connected to a power supply circuit, and sensor capable of sending a signal to the microprocessor in response to external stimulus. The microprocessor controls whether a LED of the LED circuit emits light, and is capable of independently controlling a number of LEDs and responding to signals from a number of sensors.

Abstract: An auxiliary lighting system to be used with a high intensity discharge lamp having a solid state or electronic ballast. An auxiliary lamp is connected to a source of power through the normally closed contacts of a relay. The relay coil is in the input line to the solid state ballast. Above a predetermined threshold current to the ballast, the relay coil causes the normally closed contacts to open thereby extinguishing the auxiliary lamp. When the high intensity discharge lamp is turned on, or when there is an interrupt, the power requirements for the HID lamp are at a low point. Thus the input current to the solid state ballast is below the threshold, the contacts are closed and the auxiliary lamp is turned on.

Abstract: An emergency lighting system, employing a mercury lamp and an incandescent lamp, and relay circuits for turning on the incandescent lamp in substitution for the mercury lamp, when the light output of the latter is limited, during either cold start or hot start, and for turning off the incandescent lamp without chatter.
