  • Patent number: 10759593
Abstract: Disclosed are display containers (e.g., for packaging food items). Certain embodiments of the container are stackable and include a cover portion of the container having a non-flat presentation surface, and one or more stacking recesses defined between the non-flat presentation surface and at least one of the one or more cover body sides. A base portion of the container can include a mating surface shaped to mate with a portion of the non-flat presentation surface when stacked on a corresponding bottom container such that an inside of the corresponding bottom container can be viewed through the non-flat presentation surface of the bottom container. The base body can include one or more stacking feet extending from the base body and configured to insert into the one or more stacking recesses when stacked on the cover portion of the corresponding bottom container such that the one or more stacking feet engage the cover portion.

  • Patent number: 10543967
Abstract: A container includes a lid having a peripheral flange which defines a lifting tab. The container includes a base having an upper peripheral rim. A bend line is formed in a surface of the base to define a bendable portion of the base. The bendable portion of the base receives and limits access to the lifting tab when the container is closed. A container includes a lid having a peripheral flange which defines a lifting tab. The lifting tab has a top surface and a bottom surface. The lid includes a protrusion extending downwardly from the bottom surface of the lifting tab. The container includes a base. • Publication number: 20190322406
Abstract: Disclosed are container base constructions and methods of making the same. Such container are adapted and configured to reduce or eliminate deformation of the base and/or sidewall when the container is filled and/or stacked. The containers have a sidewall that has a top end and a bottom end; and a base attached to the bottom end of the sidewall. The base of the container includes a center panel which is positioned above the bottom end of the sidewall and an outer convex section. In certain constructions, the center panel is flat. Alternatively, the center panel can be curved (e.g., convex).

  • Publication number: 20190119017
Abstract: A container includes a base and a lid. A peripheral wall of the base terminates in a sealing flange extending outward from the peripheral wall of the base. The sealing flange includes a rail and a rim defining a groove therebetween. An upper surface of the lid terminates in a downwardly extending peripheral shoulder and an outwardly extending peripheral flange positioned outward from the downwardly extending peripheral shoulder. The outwardly extending peripheral flange of the lid abuts the rim when the container is closed. The rim extends beyond an outer edge of the outwardly extending peripheral flange of the lid substantially around the perimeter of the container. At least one surface of the downwardly extending peripheral shoulder engages at least one surface of the groove at a seal interface. The rail impedes the downwardly extending peripheral shoulder from moving in a direction away from the seal interface.

  • Patent number: 9643761
Abstract: A child-resistant container includes a lid and a base. The lid includes a peripheral flange that defines a lifting tab. The base includes an upper peripheral rim. A skirt extends downwardly from the upper peripheral rim to a lower edge thereof. A bend line extends between two adjacent sides of the base to define a corner portion of the base that accommodates the lifting tab when the container is closed forming a child-resistant opening mechanism. The bend line facilitates bending of the corner portion of the base to gain access to the lifting tab.
