  • Publication number: 20230405875
Abstract: A hand-held electrically powered cut-off tool (100) for cutting concrete and stone by a rotatable cutting disc (105), the cut-off tool (100) comprising an electric motor (130) arranged to be controlled by a control unit (110) via a motor control interface (120), wherein the control unit (110) is arranged to obtain data indicative of an angular velocity of the cutting disc (105), and to detect a kickback condition based on a decrease in angular velocity, wherein the control unit (110) is arranged to control an electromagnetic braking of the electric motor (130) in response to detecting a kickback condition, wherein the control unit (110) is arranged to determine an angular acceleration associated with the electric motor (130), and to detect the kickback condition based on a comparison between the determined angular acceleration and a configurable detection threshold.

  • Publication number: 20230283942
Abstract: Earphone positioning and retention mechanisms are disclosed. One earphone described includes a speaker driver, a flexible eartip comprising a first oval shaped contact surface at an opening forming a hole through the eartip, the first oval shaped contact surface configured to contact an outer surface of a user's ear canal when worn, a body portion comprising a second contact surface configured to position behind an anti-tragus portion of the user's ear, and, a retaining member formed of a compliant material, comprising a third contact surface configured to conform to a cymba conch portion of the user's ear, where the body portion and the retaining member are shaped in a way that the second contact surface contacts the anti-tragus portion and the third contact surface contacts the cymba conch portion at the same time, when the first contact surface is already in contact with the outer surface of the ear canal.

  • Publication number: 20180331781
Abstract: A data block is acquired, the data block is encoded, and the encoded data block is sent addressed to a network receiving node. Feedback information is received from the network receiving node regarding decoding performance of the sent encoded data block, and based on the feedback information, it is determined whether the sent data block was successfully decoded by the network receiving node. When it is determined that the sent data block was not successfully decoded, an adjusted coding parameter value of the coding parameter is determined, the data block is encoded with the adjusted coding parameter value, and the adjusted encoding parameter value data block is sent addressed to the network receiving node. When it is determined that the sent data block was successfully decoded, a subsequent data block is encoded, and the encoded subsequent data block is sent addressed to the network receiving node.
