  • Publication number: 20230154150
Abstract: The present disclosure refers to methods and system for classifying rocks according to their minerals from the processing of color images and hyperspectral images. The methods and systems of this disclosure achieve an efficient and low-cost classification of rocks with minerals. In particular, the method uses classification methods that take color images and hyperspectral images and give as a result a probability that the rock or rocks present in said images are suitable or waste.

  • Patent number: 10949985
Abstract: An AM-FM representation is used to derive AM and FM based equations that can be applied to two consecutive frames in parallel to derive motion estimates. The multidimensional AM-FM representations provide general representations of non-stationary content in digital images. The AM-FM estimate captures single images and features of a video that can lead to different applications in image and video analysis, for example, computer-aided diagnosis in medical applications or monitoring micro-movements of rocky material in the pit slopes.

  • Patent number: 8908992
Abstract: An image and video processing system and methods based on amplitude-modulation frequency-modulation (“AM-FM”) demodulation to provide high quality reconstructions, both visually and quantitatively. The system and methods reconstructs an image based on a Regularized Optimization (“RO”) of estimates to attain a small number of locally coherent components and simultaneously enforce a piecewise smooth constrain for one or more amplitude functions.

  • Patent number: 8515201
Abstract: Image and video processing using multi-scale amplitude-modulation frequency-modulation (“AM-FM”) demodulation where a multi-scale filterbank with bandpass filters that correspond to each scale are used to calculate estimates for instantaneous amplitude, instantaneous phase, and instantaneous frequency. The image and video are reconstructed using the instantaneous amplitude and instantaneous frequency estimates and variable-spacing local linear phase and multi-scale least square reconstruction techniques. AM-FM demodulation is applicable in imaging modalities such as electron microscopy, spectral and hyperspectral devices, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (“MRI”), positron emission tomography (“PET”), histology, color and monochrome images, molecular imaging, radiographs (“X-rays”), computer tomography (“CT”), and others.
