A shock and vibration mitigation baseplate includes a mounting frame configured for placement between a console operator chair and a rigid floor surface, and one or more viscoelastic polymer shock absorption and vibration dampening pads. The mounting frame houses the one or more viscoelastic polymer shock absorption and vibration dampening pads therein.

Abstract: An ion source of a type used on ion implanters which includes a crucible having a hollow interior and a hole for providing fluid communication between the interior of and exterior to the crucible. A heater assembly is used for adjustably heating the crucible. The crucible hole is if fluid communication with a passageway down the crucible and with a vapor nozzle aperture. An arc chamber has an inlet positioned at the output of the vapor nozzle aperture. The material to be vaporized does not bond to the crucible interior when solidified from a liquid state.

Abstract: Described below are an apparatus and process for starting up externally-applied, cardiac-assist processes of the type wherein the assist is synchronized with the heartbeat. The improved process comprises the controlled stepwise reduction in the time portion of the pressure cycle wherein pressure rises on a portion of the patient's body and also comprises the controlled stepwise increase in the time at which the higher pressure portion of the cycle is active on the patient's body.

Abstract: A portable telephone system which utilizes both a VOX and a duplexer network wherein the necessity for the transmission of a continuous signal and continuous receiver scanning is eliminated, thereby conserving power, and wherein the ringing signal is generated locally by the individual subscriber units to prevent contact with the base station until full two-way communication is established, thereby preventing possible interference with other parties already on the line.
