The gummy delivery systems include an active ingredient admixed with a glycerylated gelatin matrix prepared by heating an aqueous solution of gelatin and glycerin to a temperature and for a time sufficient to remove some of the moisture content of the initial aqueous solution. The active ingredient can be delivered from a shearform matrix carrier.
