  • Patent number: 11643951
Abstract: An expandable engine fluid catcher that is configured to attach to an engine fluid filter, such as an oil filter, and catch engine fluid as the fluid filter is removed from the engine. An engine may be part of a vehicle and the engine fluid filter may be an oil filter. An expandable engine fluid catcher has a retainer portion having a retainer band that is secured around the engine fluid filter. Most engine fluid filters are cylindrical in shape and therefore a band, and in particular an elastic band, may be used to attach the expandable engine fluid catcher to the fluid filter. A pleated portion of the expandable engine fluid catcher has a plurality of pleats that extend from the retainer band upward to an expandable end that can be flared out, or expanded, to provide a larger diameter for catching engine fluid therein.

  • Patent number: 8479411
Abstract: An adjustably vented shoe including a body adapted to cover an entire user foot therein. Such a body preferably has an outer surface provided with an opening formed therethrough. The shoe further includes a first plate statically interfitted within the opening, a mesh screen statically interfitted within the opening and abutted with the first plate respectively, and a second plate adjustably engaged with the first plate respectively. Notably, the first plate and the mesh screen remain stationary while the second plate is dynamically displaced between open and closed positions relative to the first plate and the mesh screen respectively. In this manner, the mesh screen is exposed to ambient air when the second plate is displaced to the open position such that air is permitted to freely ingress and egress the shoe via the mesh screen.

  • Publication number: 20060201110
Abstract: The method of packaging coils uses a tear-resistant packaging tube having openings at either end. The tear-resistant packaging tube is made from at least one layer of material. The coil is generally cylindrical and defines a length, a circumference, an inside diameter, and an opening with an inner periphery. The coil is placed inside of the tube so that there is excess circumferential tube material extending from a first end of the coil. The excess circumferential material of the tube is then inserted through the opening at the center of the coil and drawn through the coil to the second end. The edges of the tube which extend from the second end of the coil are then folded back around the outside of the coil and sealed to secure the tube on the roll.
