    Abstract: The present invention relates to a shackle-type seal. The seal comprises first and second body portions which enclose a hollow chamber therebetween, and define a shackle leg receiving area adapted to receive a pair of shackle legs. Shackle leg engaging means are provided within the chamber adapted to engage a shackle leg inserted into the chamber. One side portion of the body has a pair of apertures therein in communication with the chamber and each is adapted to receive a shackle leg. At least one of the apertures has stop means therein adapted to prevent egress of a shackle leg therefrom and means are provided for securing of the body portions together to form a seal assembly.

    Abstract: This invention provides a locking seal which comprises a socket member, a latch member and a locking cap member. The socket member comprises a body having first and second open ends communicating with a hollow portion extending through the body; and at least one locking finger extending towards the second end of the body. The latch member comprises an elongated locking end adapted for insertion into the hollow portion of the body and to interlock with the locking finger. The locking end comprises a first section having a surface tapering into a second section and defining with the second section at least one shoulder. The locking cap member comprises a closure member adapted to matingly engage the latch member and prevent access to the second end. The seal of this invention is suitable for use in securing or locking trucks, containers, etc.

    Abstract: This invention provides a device for closing a flexible container which comprises a body portion having first and second opposed gripping arms extending therefrom. The arms are each adapted to be folded about a fold line relative to the body portion so that the arms, with the body, are capable of at least partially encircling the flexible container for closure thereof. Each of the arms has at least one gripping and engaging means extending inwardly therefrom, and the body has a first gripping and engaging means adapted to fixedly engage the flexible container in one direction and a second gripping and engaging means adapted to fixedly engage the flexible container in a second opposed direction. Means are provided in at least one of the body or arm members for passage of a tie member operatively associated therewith. The device provides a tamperproof closure for a flexible container when used in combination with a tie and deformable sealing element.
