  • Patent number: 8695670
Abstract: A label and label attaching device for attaching a label onto a backing sheet. The label has a protruding apex portion, side surfaces defined when the label is folded at the apex and end portions at the outer base ends of the side surfaces. A label sheet is formed by temporarily attaching labels to a backing sheet. Prior to attachment, an intermediate portion of the label protrudes from its back surface to its front surface in a folded chevron shape. Outer end portions of the side surfaces project out from the side surfaces and the outer end portions are temporarily attached to the backing sheet with the folded portion protruding. The attaching device has two divided bodies to which the outer end portions are temporarily attracted. The divided bodies are movable together and apart to define the folded label. Then the label holding unit moves the folded label to an attaching position on the backing sheet which is moving past.

  • Patent number: 7703685
Abstract: For applying a label to an article, and with a RFID tag on the label also being separated from the article, and for minimizing the influence from the article on the tag, and for securing stable reading and writing of data, a label application device applies a label to which a RFID tag comprising an IC chip and communication antenna is fixed, to the article. A folding device folds a portion of the label having a tag-fixing area to which the RFID tag is fixed, such that the back side of the label is pushed to the surface side of the label so that the label portion protrudes to form an angle and is folded, and then applying the label to the article. A device acts on the label portion to form the fold.

  • Patent number: 7703687
Abstract: The present invention refers to a label comprising a pasting part for pasting said label to an object and comprising an electronic device preferably for a radio frequency identification (RFID). In order to improve such a label, it is suggested that the electronic device is pivotably connected to said pasting part.

  • Patent number: 5628693
Abstract: A bowling center system includes a plurality of lane pair control systems each including a pinsetting device for each lane, a pinsetter control unit, a game control unit, a bowler input station and a pair of overhead display monitors. The game control unit is operable under the control of a game control program stored in a memory for automatically operating the pinsetter control units during game play to selectively set a sequence of pin patterns on the lane, which patterns may comprise any array of pins. The game control unit responsive to pin fall data received from the gamesetter generates scoring information which is displayed using video graphic displays on the overhead monitors. The game control program can be any one of a plurality of different game programs which may be downloaded to the memory from a memory associated with the manager's control terminal.

  • Patent number: 5255185
Abstract: A bowling center system includes a plurality of lane pair control systems each including a pin setting device for each lane, a pin setter control unit, a game scoring control unit, a bowler input station and a pair of overhead display monitors. A manager's control system provides accounting control over the bowling center system and is operable to communicate with a selected game control unit as necessary. A plurality of remote terminals are provided associated with selected ones of the lane pair control systems. Each remote terminal system includes a keyboard and a display monitor. The remote terminal operates under the control of the game unit to allow a user thereof to enter requests for video displays. The video displays include, the example, ball trajectory displays which illustrate the path of the ball in the bowling lane, or dynamic displays, such as for training, generated by video source devices associated with the manager's control system.
