  • Publication number: 20250000345
Abstract: An endoscope (1) including a proximal handle (5). The handle includes (5) at least one handle housing part (9) having an interior surface and an exterior surface. The handle housing part includes a recess forming part of the exterior surface. An electrical switch is accommodated on the exterior surface in said recess and is digitally operable via an operating member (15). The handle housing part (9) includes a through hole provided in said recess and interconnecting the exterior surface and the interior surface and the operating member includes at least one retaining member passing through the through hole in the handle housing part (9) from said recess and engages the interior surface.

  • Publication number: 20240423451
Abstract: An endoscope including a handle and an insertion cord. The handle includes a first handle housing part and a valve and suction connector assembly. The valve and connector assembly including a suction connector part (11), a valve housing main body (100), a plunger (101) and a valve housing lid (102). The valve housing lid (102) includes an entry pipe (107) connected to a suction channel tube in fluid communication with a suction port at the distal end of the insertion cord. The valve housing main body (100) includes an exit pipe (104) connected to said suction connector part (11). The suction connector part (11) is accommodated in the wall of the handle housing part and includes an oblong engagement flange in frictional engagement with said wall.

  • Publication number: 20240398211
Abstract: An endoscope (1) including a handle (5) including a housing part and a insertion cord (6a) coupled to the handle (5) by means of a rotary coupling mechanism allowing rotation about a rotation axis. The coupling mechanism includes a bushing having a through-aperture defining an inner bushing wall surface adapted to receive a connection member and an outer bushing wall surface adapted to engage an inner handle surface in the handle. A connection member is received in the through-aperture and has a wall defining a through passage between a first end and a second end. The first end is attached to an insertion cord sub-assembly, and the second end is rotatably coupled to a working channel part within the handle (5).

  • Publication number: 20240389839
Abstract: An endoscope including a proximal handle and an insertion cord (6). The handle includes an operating member (81) for the bending section. A first pull-wire and a second pull-wire are connected to the bending section. The first pull-wire partially is surrounded by a first guide tube so as to present a first proximal pull-wire section (191a) extending from a proximal end (193a) said first guide tube and the second pull-wire is partially surrounded by a second guide tube so as to present a second proximal pull-wire section (192a) extending from a proximal end of said second guide tube (194a). The first pull-wire section (191a) is in engagement with a wire guide on the operating member (81) and connected to the operating member, and the first pull-wire section (191a) is joined with the second pull-wire section (192a) at a location between the operating member (81) and the proximal end (194a) of the second guide tube.

  • Publication number: 20230277047
Abstract: An endoscope including: a handle; and an insertion cord; the handle including: a working channel access port providing access to a working channel extending from the handle to a distal tip unit of the insertion cord; and a biopsy valve attached or attachable to the working channel access port; the biopsy valve including: a valve body attached or attachable to the working channel access port; and a valve lid configured to be detachably attached to the valve body; wherein the valve lid includes a slit which is formed or configured so as to close and seal the working channel access port and which provides a passageway for insertion of the tool or instrument; and wherein the slit includes at least one slit end arranged in a weakened portion determining a defined crack-growth direction starting from the at least one slit end.

  • Publication number: 20230157527
Abstract: An endoscope including a handle and an insertion cord. The handle includes a Y-connector having: a first branch/socket having a first opening from which a first channel extends; a second branch/socket having a second opening from which a second channel extends; and a third branch/socket having a third opening, wherein the first channel and the second channel join each other in a third joined channel and the third joined channel extends inside the third branch or socket towards the third opening. The first channel and the third joined channel form together an instrument insertion channel of the Y-connector. The first channel is a curved channel having a curvature at least in sections inside the first branch or socket and/or the third joined channel is a curved channel having a curvature at least in sections inside the third branch or socket.
