  • Publication number: 20230273656
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include side walls, a socket positioned between the side walls, and movable panels slidably mounted on the side walls, in which the movable panels are to support an electronic module. The apparatus may also include a handle connected to the movable panels, in which rotation of the handle in a first direction causes the movable panels to move laterally with respect to the side walls away from the socket and rotation of the handle in a second direction causes the movable panels to move laterally with respect to the side walls toward the socket to cause, when the electronic module is supported by the movable panels, the electronic module to be removed from or to be inserted into the socket.

  • Patent number: 10691181
Abstract: In an example, an enclosure opener may comprise an external actuator disposed externally to a device enclosure and having a post that extends into the enclosure, and a first separator cam disposed within the enclosure. The first separator cam is be rotatably engaged with the post of the external actuator. Upon rotation of the post relative to the enclosure, the first separator cam is to rotate and engage with an internal surface of the enclosure such that the first separator cam exerts an opening force against the internal surface to cause the device enclosure to separate along a mating seam to open the enclosure.

  • Patent number: 7949372
Abstract: A system and method is provided for enabling data transfer over the same electrical routing network utilized by the mobile device to obtain electric power from an external power source. The system includes a contact base connected to a power supply, and mobile device adapters. The contact base is a flat surface that comprises a segmented conductive area with conductive contact pads on the surface, and a plurality of base controller modules that detect the presence of compatible mobile devices placed on the contact surface and routes the electrical power through the contact points on the surface to the compatible mobile devices accordingly, after a handshake protocol. The data communication portion of the system comprises a power line communication bypass circuit and a repeater for power line communication either within or adjunct to the power supply that powers the contact base.

  • Patent number: 7521890
Abstract: A system and method is provided for the inductive transfer of electric power between a substantially flat primary surface and a multitude of secondary devices in such a way that the power transfer is localized to the vicinities of individual device coils. The contact free power transfer does not require precise physical alignment between the primary surface and the secondary device and can allow the secondary device or devices to be placed anywhere and in arbitrary orientation with respect to the primary surface. Such power transfer is realized without the need of complex high frequency power switching network to turn the individual primary coils on or off and is completely scalable to almost arbitrary size. The local anti-resonance architecture of the primary device will block primary current from flowing when no secondary device or devices are in proximity to the local RF power network.
