Abstract: Articulated joint for mutually locking rods and/or pins in an external fixation device for reducing bone fractures, including a first rod support having a first pair of jaws and a second support for the rods or pins having a part that has a flat face resting against a corresponding flat face of the first pair of jaws. The flat face of the second support has at least one groove along one edge which together with the flat face of the first pair of jaws defines a channel into which, the rod or pin is inserted sideways, against the action of a biasing member, and retained under pressure in said channel.
