  • Patent number: 10604341
Abstract: A garbage container assembly for removing a garbage bag laterally from a garbage container includes a container that is positionable on a support surface. A garbage bag is removably positioned in the container for containing garbage. The container has a first section that is hingedly coupled to a second section. Moreover, the second section is positionable in an open position thereby facilitating the garbage bag to be removed from the container without lifting the garbage bag. A lid is removably positionable on the container. The lid has an access port therein to facilitate garbage to be passed therethrough for depositing the garbage in the garbage bag.

  • Publication number: 20140259358
Abstract: A water bath apparatus for producing a generally unidirectional or non-centric, gentle and/or relaxing water flow within a tub about a user's body without noticeable or significant vibration and/or noise, including a water flow that is directed away from, or at least not towards, the center of the tub, such as a generally unidirectional or non-centric water flow along or across the tub so as to provide or emulate a flowing stream of water along the body of the user. Specifically placed water inlet ports and water outlet ports provide for the generally unidirectional or non-centric water flow.

  • Publication number: 20070118984
Abstract: A curvilinear spa shell includes a top edge defining four rounded concave corners and four convex side walls in a “clover leaf” like arrangement. Each rounded corner has a radius that exceeds twelve inches. The top edge is substantially symmetrical about an axes that extend through the center of opposing side walls as well as through the center of opposing corners. The curvilinear spa shell can accommodate a water feature for generating a pleasing rushing water sound. The water feature includes a ridge in an interior area of the spa and having a top disposed near a water line of the spa. The water feature utilizes a water inlet adjacent to the ridge opposite a main body of water area in the interior area. The water inlet is placed lower than the top of the ridge. The water feature also includes a slope descending from the top of the ridge in the direction of the water inlet.

  • Publication number: 20060137088
Abstract: A spa system with multiple vessels to handle water leakage while preventing damage to the spa system. In one implementation, a spa system includes a first vessel configured to hold water and one or more persons, and a second vessel attached to the first vessel. The second vessel has a pressurized cavity for water. The system includes a water jet connected between the first and second vessels, in which the water jet is configured to use water pressure in the pressurized cavity to send water from the second vessel into the first vessel. The system also has a watertight seal around a water jet connection, in which the water jet is positioned to allow water leakage between the first and second vessels upon a watertight seal failure. In some implementations, the first and second vessels are twin-sheet bonded and embedded channels are used for air and water circulation.

  • Publication number: 20060112483
Abstract: Techniques and systems for removing moisture from behind an illuminated panel on a spa. In one exemplary implementation, a panel is attached to a sidewall of a spa seating area. A light source is used to illuminate the panel, in which the light source can be attached to the panel. An air vent is connected to the spa to allow moisture to evaporate from behind the panel, in which one end of the air vent may be connected to the atmosphere outside of the spa. The panel can be flush mounted inside of the sidewall, and the panel can be located within a recess area of the sidewall. The panel can be formed of a translucent material, and the panel can be located at a waterline area to indicate a recommended level to fill the spa with water. The panel can include a logo, a design, or an inscription.

  • Publication number: 20060112482
Abstract: A gasket for a spa shell includes a body formed of an at least partially translucent material. The gasket includes a top ring configured to abut a top surface of the spa shell and a bottom ring configured to abut a bottom surface of the spa shell. In one embodiment, the gasket includes an indentation configured to receive light from a light source for transmission through the body. The gasket may be formed with an elastomer.

  • Publication number: 20050278845
Abstract: Systems and techniques to provide a flexing support in a spa, such as a flexing spa headrest. In general, in one implementation, a system includes a surface defining a multi-level recess including a primary recess and secondary mounting recesses, and a pillow including a flexible concave pad and mounts that couple the flexible concave pad with the surface, the secondary mounting recesses receiving the mounts such that the flexible concave pad is suspended above the primary recess, a curved edge of the flexible concave pad contacts the surface, and the flexible concave pad mechanically flexes concavely between the mounts and about the curved edge when force is applied.

  • Publication number: 20050114994
Abstract: A tactile therapy system for use in a spa, hot tub, or pool. The tactile therapy system is based, at least in part, on the hand or foot maps specified in the reflexology art. The system thus includes a pattern of protrusions configured in accordance with reflexology hand map or foot map on which an individual may apply his or her hands or feet. The reflexology-based tactile therapy system may optionally be combined with hydrotherapy, by placing hydrotherapy jets among the pattern of protrusions.
