  • Publication number: 20260127141
Abstract: Incremental replication systems, methods, and apparatuses are described. An illustrative source storage system receives a request from a first target storage system for replication data associated with a snapshot of the file system, computes a delta between the snapshot and an earlier-in-time snapshot of the file system, sends the delta to the first target storage system, caches the delta, receives a request from a second target storage system for replication data associated with the snapshot of the file system; determines, that the cached delta can be used to respond to the request from the second target storage system, and uses the cached delta to send the delta to the second target storage system.

  • Publication number: 20260100983
Abstract: A storage system includes a plurality of storage nodes comprising a set of primary storage nodes and a set of secondary storage nodes. A a set of data is stored across the set of primary storage nodes and the set of secondary storage nodes. The storage system also includes a processing device operatively coupled to the plurality of storage nodes. The processing device is configured to identify a first subset of the set of data as prioritized data and a second subset of the set of data as non-prioritized data. The processing device is further configured to enforce a first quality of service level for the first subset and a second quality of service level for the second subset. The first quality of service level provides faster access to data than the second quality of service level.

  • Publication number: 20260099369
Abstract: Requests to access non-prioritized data stored in one or more storage nodes are received. A determination as to whether a number of accesses of a portion of data of the non-prioritized data over an amount of time satisfies a threshold is made. In response to determining that the number of accesses satisfies the threshold, A classification of the portion of data is modified to prioritized data, wherein the prioritized data is provided a higher quality of service level than the non-prioritized data while avoiding relocating the portion of data.

  • Publication number: 20260030203
Abstract: A snapshot of metadata of a file system on a source storage system is stored in one or more of storage devices of a target storage system. A request to access data stored in the file system is received. A portion of the metadata including identification information of the data is identified. The data stored in the file system is retrieved by providing the source storage system with the identification information of the data.

  • Patent number: 12481675
Abstract: Synchronously negotiating an object's creation time including identifying, by a first storage system among the two or more storage systems, a request to store a second updated version of the object; detecting, by the first storage system, a communications disruption among the two or more storage systems; and establishing, in dependence upon a local clock of the first storage system and a latest observed creation time associated with the object, a creation time for the second updated version of the object.

  • Publication number: 20250348384
Abstract: A single request is received by a storage controller of a storage system from an application deployed on a data source. The request includes objects that are to be stored at the storage system. The objects included in the request have corresponding object sizes that are below a threshold. Upon receiving the request, the objects are stored at one or more storage devices of the storage system.

  • Publication number: 20240411647
Abstract: Snapshots for object storage buckets, including: receiving a command to generate a snapshot of a bucket of object storage of a storage system, wherein the snapshot records a state of the bucket at a particular point in time; and generating, in response to the command, the snapshot.

  • Patent number: 11822807
Abstract: A method of replication in a distributed storage system, performed by the distributed storage system is provided. The method includes managing a first index for data or metadata in a first storage system, the first storage system having a first partitioning scheme. The method includes managing a second index for data or metadata in a second storage system, the second storage system having a second partitioning scheme. The method includes replicating the data or metadata from the first storage system to the second storage system, translating an identifier of the data or metadata from the first storage system, and mapping the replicated data or metadata into the second partitioning scheme, via the translating of the identifier of the data or metadata from the first storage system.

  • Patent number: 7448236
Abstract: An adjustable coupler lock for locking a trailer hitch such that a trailer cannot be removed from a vehicle. The coupler lock comprises a lock body with a locking mechanism and a locking plate, and also comprises a shaft having a narrow and a flange end, and also having multiple recesses along the length of the shaft for engagement with the locking plate of the lock body. The recesses along the length of the shaft have a vertical edge which engages the locking plate such that the lock body cannot be removed from the shaft without unlocking the locking mechanism. The recesses also have a tapered edge that allows for slidable movement of the lock body along the shaft, without unlocking the locking mechanism, for the purpose of adjusting the lock to the size of the latch.
