Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for connecting a Remote User of a first company to an extranet of a second company. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the Remote User is routed through a Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service (UMTS) network to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) associated with the second company. The ISP then routes the communication to the second company's extranet. The UMTS communicates with the Remote User through the UMTS' SGSNs (Serving GPRS Support Nodes). The SGSN routes the user traffic to a GGSN (Gateway GPRS Support Node) associated with the user's company. The GGSN authenticates the user and routes the user traffic flows through the second company's ISP to the second company's extranet. In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the first and second companies both use the same UMTS.
