    Abstract: The present invention is a dog toy for playing tug-of-war with a dog that has a handle and an elastic member attached to the handle and on the other side of the elastic member a bite toy wherein the elastic member can bend, stretch, and otherwise deform while the dog is pulling on the bite toy such that the elastic member absorbs some of the forces on the toy and decreases the amount of force acting on the handle and the owner's hand or wrist.
