  • Patent number: 12218926
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for time constrained electronic request evaluation. A server system receives, from a computing device, a request submitted via an account, including a first set of characteristics associated with the request. The system executes a first machine-learning model to determine a first risk score for the request by inputting the first set of characteristics into the first model. The system generates an initial authentication decision for the request based on the first score and sends the decision to the device. The system executes a second, different machine-learning model to determine a second risk score for the request, by inputting the first set of characteristics and a second, different set of characteristics associated with the account into the second model. Based on the second score, the system determines a final authentication decision. The disclosed techniques may advantageously improve computer security and operations via identification of malicious electronic requests.

  • Publication number: 20240303713
Abstract: A system is configured to train a customer understanding model to generate a preference score for substitution items. The customer understanding model generates a preference score for each of a plurality of related substitution items based on order data including data indicative of at least one item ordered and location data indicating a location of a first store. The customer understanding model ranks each of the substitution items based on the preference score. Order data is transmitted including substitution data identifying each of the substitution items and corresponding rank. Performance data associated with a set of operations implemented based on the order data and the substitution data is obtained. An updated customer understanding model is trained based on the performance data and iteratively modified based on the updated training dataset and updated performance metrics generated from second performance data.

  • Patent number: 12026203
Abstract: Techniques for aligning (merging) knowledge graphs is described. Graph entity alignment is the problem of “joining” two knowledge graphs based on common entities. Most approaches in literature solve this using some annotated seed entity pairs and train a supervised model to rank entities in one knowledge base against another. In some examples, unsupervised alignment approach that uses graph-to-text summaries to encode entities in two or more distinct graphs into the same representation space, encodes those summaries into a common space, and then uses similarity analysis to determine when graph entities should be aligned (merged).

  • Patent number: 12012376
Abstract: Systems and methods of producing olefins via catalytic cracking are disclosed. Hydrocarbons of a naphtha stream are isomerized by converting straight chain Cn hydrocarbons to branched Cn hydrocarbons, thereby forming an isomerized naphtha stream. The isomerized naphtha stream is subsequently fed to a catalytic cracking unit such that the hydrocarbons of the isomerized naphtha stream form olefins. In the catalytic cracking process, the reaction temperature can be kept lower than 680° C., thereby increasing the reactivity and minimizing catalyst deactivation in the catalytic cracking process.

  • Patent number: 12008622
Abstract: A system includes a computing device configured to obtain item attribute data that corresponds to a characteristic of an item ordered by a customer on an e-commerce platform and a common characteristic of a plurality of substitution items. The computing device is also configured to obtain customer attribute data identifying preferences of the customer and to determine a preference score for each substitution item in the plurality of substitution items based on the item attribute data and the customer attribute data. The preference score indicates a likelihood that the customer will accept one of the plurality of substitution items as a replacement for the item ordered by the customer. The computing device is also configured to rank each substitution item in the plurality of substitution items based on the preference scores.
