Abstract: An ad hoc conferencing system and methods are provided. Information is stored to associate a particular meeting link with an endpoint device. A first request to initiate a communication session is received from the endpoint device, wherein the first request is generated by a local participant interacting with the endpoint device. A second request to join the communication session is received from a remote device, wherein the second request is transmitted in response to a remote participant inputting, on the remote device, the particular meeting link. The communication session is established between the endpoint device and the remote device based on receiving the first request and receiving the second request.

Abstract: A method for transferring a teleconference between a mobile device and a conference center. The method includes identifying, by a mobile device, a candidate meeting center system for transfer of a teleconference conducted on the mobile device, and in response to identifying the candidate meeting center system, generating a user interface (UI) to provide one or more user selectable icons, the user selectable icons configured to facilitate transfer of the teleconference from the mobile device to the candidate meeting center system.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method is provided for handling a call from a conferencing endpoint configured to handle a conference between multiple participants. A request to call a participant is received from the conferencing endpoint. Information is inferred about a presence of one or more participants in the call, based on a detection of the one or more participants by presence detection equipment associated with the conferencing endpoint;. Additional call context information is determined based on the inferred information. The additional call context information is provided to the participant in addition to the call, wherein the additional call context information is accessible to the participant.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes: receiving an image stream captured by an image capture device associated with one of a plurality of video conferencing endpoints of a video conferencing system; receiving a request to detect objects in the received image stream; upon detecting one or more objects, displaying a first framing preview of the received image stream, wherein the first framing preview is framed to include the detected one or more objects; upon detecting a change in the detected one or more objects, displaying at least one second framing preview of the received image stream, wherein the at least one second framing preview is framed to include the detected change in the detected one or more objects; and receiving an input, the input selecting a relevant framing preview to use, wherein the relevant framing preview is one of the displayed first and at least one second framing previews.

Abstract: An image-capturing device includes a receiver that receives distance and angular direction information that specifies an audio source position from a microphone array. The device also includes a controller that determines whether to change an initial focal plane within a field of view based on the audio source position. The device includes a focus adjuster that adjusts an optical focus setting to change from the initial focal plane to a subsequent focal plane within the field of view to focus on at least one object-of-interest located at the audio source position, based on a determination by the controller.
