  • Publication number: 20240314576
Abstract: A first responder network is a network that is used by first responders for communicating between devices typically used by first responding officers. An MCI describes an incident in which emergency medical services are overwhelmed by the number and severity of casualties. A wireless network system is proposed which can deploy an ad-hoc first responder network to provide communication and accurate positioning services during the MCI event. The proposed system can deliver extended coverage in a constantly changing MCI area while ensuring accurate positioning of victims and triage officers in the MCI area to improve efficiency in logistics, triaging and management of clinical diagnosis.

  • Publication number: 20240267113
Abstract: Method for operating a wireless terminal to communicate in a cellular network, said cellular network comprising at least one first cell station, said first cell station serving a first cell, and at least one relay station served by a second cell station serving a second cell, the method comprising the steps of the wireless terminal receiving a downlink signal sent by the first cell station and carrying downlink control information, said downlink control information including at least an indication of an allocated uplink resource to be used by the wireless terminal for transmitting a signal to the relay station, the wireless terminal generating uplink information, the wireless terminal transmitting to the relay station on the allocated uplink resource the signal carrying the uplink information, said uplink information to be forwarded to the second cell station.

  • Publication number: 20240121572
Abstract: A first responder network is a network that is used by first responders for communicating between devices typically used by first responding officers. An MCI describes an incident in which emergency medical services are overwhelmed by the number and severity of casualties. A wireless communication system for first responder networks is proposed that can securely register (onboard) a variety of wireless devices to ensure a quicker response time in the MCI area. Existing wireless devices belonging to both triage officers and casualties in the MCI area can automatically be registered to a first responder network to enhance coverage in the MCI area. Expansion of a wireless infrastructure of the first responder network can be enabled by securely registering alien central nodes (e.g., base stations) on an on-demand basis.

  • Publication number: 20230209583
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system that limits resources (e.g. reduces energy consumption and/or peak-to average power ratio) of a wireless communication device by limiting communication resources for the communication device from a network function of the cellular core network.

  • Publication number: 20230189001
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (100) for operating a user device (110) with personalized identity module profiles in which identity module profiles are automatically downloaded from a subscription manager (130) onto a user device (110) upon identification of the user (120) of the user device (110), in a secure manner. The system (100) especially comprises a service system (140) for identifying the user corresponding to the derived user identity, and a subscription manager (130) for preparing personalized identity module profiles requested by the service system (140) and sending the prepared personalized identity module profiles to the user device (110).
