  • Publication number: 20160246689
Abstract: The present information processing apparatus executes fault-tolerant distributed computing through a network and the information processing apparatus comprises: a finish initiator that creates a finish state on a home node; an activity creator that instructs to create at least one activity on a remote node; an activity launcher that allows to store in a resilient store a value indicating that at least one live activity is present on the remote node; an activity closer that decreases the number in the local memory when the living activity is completed and resets the value in the resilient store to indicate that no live activity is present on the remote node; and a finish closer that closes the finish state when the value stored in the resilient store indicates an absence of remote nodes having at least one live activity.

  • Patent number: 9416614
Abstract: An offshore well system for a subsea well. The system includes a floating platform, an external riser and an internal riser nested within the external riser. A external riser tension device tensions the external riser. The drilling system also includes a surface wellhead system that includes a wellhead, a collet, and a flange assembly. The wellhead, collet, and flange assembly are assembled to establish a common bore for receiving the top of the internal riser. A gasket located between the top of the internal riser and an inner shoulder of the flange assembly seals between the wellhead system and the top of the internal riser. The surface wellhead system also retains the internal riser in tension with the wellhead, the internal riser extending above the wellhead into the collet.

  • Patent number: 9301256
Abstract: A network device receives battery status signals for multiple mobile devices and receives a notification of an incoming call from a calling device to a particular mobile device. The network device determines if a battery status, from the battery status signals, is available for the particular mobile device and provides, to the calling device, a challenge to solicit a categorization of the incoming call as important or not important when a battery status is available for the particular mobile device. The network device receives, from the calling device, a response to the challenge, wherein the response includes the categorization of the incoming call. The network device connects the incoming call from the calling device to the particular mobile device when the categorization of the incoming call is important.

  • Patent number: 9277522
Abstract: In an embodiment, a client device associated with a first user performing a registration procedure with an Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network to register the client device to a first user for IMS service. The client device communicates (e.g., via GRUUs) with one or more other client devices that are also registered to the first user for the IMS service to obtain rich communication suite (RCS) capability information for the one or more other client devices. The client device receives a request (e.g., a SIP OPTIONS message) to report the client device's RCS capability information, and then transmits, in response to the received request, a message (e.g., a SIP 200 OK message) that indicates both (i) the client device's RCS capability information and (ii) the RCS capability information for the one or more other client devices.

  • Publication number: 20160053889
Abstract: A speed ratio containment process limits the speed ratio of a variator for a CVT for a motor vehicle when rolling backward by commanding a speed ratio that is higher than the actual speed ratio in an overdrive direction. Accordingly, the actual speed ratio moves to a lowest limit, which provides maximum torque when a driver of the motor vehicle steps on the accelerator pedal to resume forward motion of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9225579
Abstract: In an embodiment, a server registers first and seconds client applications on the same client device. The first client application on a client device obtains, from the server or some other source, application-to-application communicative information for facilitating communication between the first and second client applications. Based on the application-to-application communicative information, the first client application configures a given registration request message that includes (i) a request for renewing the first client application's registration with the server, and (ii) a request for renewing the second client application's registration with the same server, and transmits the given registration request message to the server. The server renews the registrations for the first and second client applications in response to the given registration request message.

  • Patent number: 9219758
Abstract: In an embodiment, a server registers each of the plurality of client applications on the same client device. The server receives a given registration request message from the client device that includes a request for renewing a registration for a first of the plurality of client applications with the server, and the server renews the first client application's registration in response to the given registration request message. The server also determines, in response to the given registration request message, whether to preemptively renew registrations for one or more other client applications from the plurality of client applications. The server selectively renews the registrations for the one or more other client applications based on the determination.

  • Patent number: 9217430
Abstract: A gerotor assembly includes a star, a ring, and an annular plug member, as well as an o-ring. The star member defines a center opening of a first diameter which is connectable to a low-pressure fluid reservoir. The ring member circumscribes the star member. The ring member defines, in conjunction with a stationary end cap of a fluid control device, a fluid channel connectable to a high-pressure fluid supply. The plug member is circumscribed by the star member, and defines a center bore of a second diameter less than the first diameter. The o-ring is positioned between the star and the plug members. The plug member forms a fluid seal against the end cap. A fluid control device includes the above gerotor assembly and a valve housing section. A method of assembling the gerotor assembly and fluid control device are also disclosed.
