  • Patent number: 11961511
Abstract: A system and method for detecting and resolving mis-transcriptions in a transcript generated by an automatic speech recognition system when transcribing spoken words. The system and method receive a machine language generated transcript of a speech signal by at least one of a first machine learning system and a second machine learning system, and analyze the machine language generated transcript to find a region of low confidence indicative of a mis-transcription and predict an improvement to the region of low confidence indicative of the mis-transcription. The system and method select a replacement word for the mis-transcription based on the predicted improvement to the region of low confidence and replace the mis-transcription by the replacement word to generate a corrected transcript.

  • Publication number: 20160239330
Abstract: A virtualized network including one or more virtual machines is operable to instantiate dynamic reconfiguration of one or more virtual machines. The virtualized network includes an analytics engine, autonomics module and orchestrator module. The autonomics module receives intelligence data from the analytics engine and in one instance, may direct an action of dynamic reconfiguration of one or more virtual machines, based on the intelligence data. The autonomics module instructs the orchestrator module, via a control plane, to instantiate the dynamic reconfiguration of one or more virtual machines. The dynamic reconfiguration may involve, without limitation, replacing a configuration of a virtual machine, migration of a configuration from a first to a second virtual machine, or deploying a second (new) virtual machine to replace or supplement functionality of a first virtual machine.

  • Patent number: 8954745
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to allow a user of a communications device to utilize one-time password generators for two-way authentication of users and servers, i.e., proving to users that servers are genuine and proving to servers that users are genuine. The present invention removes the need for a user to have a separate physical device, e.g., token, per company or service, reduces the cost burden on the companies and allows for two-way authentication via multiple access methods, e.g., telephone, web interfaces, automatic teller machines (ATMs), etc. Also, the present invention may be utilized in consumer and enterprise applications.

  • Patent number: 8788835
Abstract: Structures and methods are disclosed for selectively capturing (“peeling”) and replicating (“cloning”) OTP tokens from one device to another while maintaining OTP state. Embodiments described herein provide for sending, from a first device to a second device, state information including for example, a key, a current OTP sequence value and a time to expiry value corresponding to selected tokens to be cloned. The second device thereafter uses the state information to generate OTP sequences corresponding to the selected tokens in time-synchronization with corresponding authentication entities. Additionally, embodiments described herein provide for restoring the OTP sequence corresponding to the selected tokens on the first device following a loss of synchronization of the selected tokens on the first device.

  • Publication number: 20130054816
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for determining the validity of SIP messages, such as self-similar messages, without parsing the message. A SIP message is processed by creating a feature vector matrix of the SIP message; processing the feature vector matrix using a plurality of classifiers; combining results generated by the plurality of classifiers to obtain a combined result; and processing the SIP message based on the combined result. The plurality of classifiers can be trained on a training data set. The SIP message can optionally be classified, for example, as a normal message or an anomalous message based on the combined result. In addition, the SIP message can optionally be processed or rejected based on the combined result. The results generated by the plurality of classifiers are combined using a combination function, such as a voting rule or a logistic regression.

  • Patent number: 8024401
Abstract: A customer relationship management system is disclosed for matching a given work item with an agent. The system includes a database to hold customer information, agent information, and system information, and a network contact center server operative to receive the given work item from the customer and route it to the agent based at least in part on the information in the database. The network contact center server is configured to control the conduction of an automated web dialogue with the customer via a separate web server and is further configured to control the conduction of an automated voice dialogue with the customer via an interactive voice response system. The automated web dialogue and the automated voice dialogue are thereby both conductable under the control of the network contact center server.

  • Publication number: 20090089859
Abstract: A phishing filter employs a plurality of heuristics or rules (in one embodiment, 12 rules) to detect and filter phishing attempts solicited by electronic mail. Generally, the rules fall within the following categories: (1) identification and analysis of the login URL (i.e., the “actual” URL) in the email, (2) analysis of the email headers, (3) analysis across URLs and images in the email other than the login URL, and (4) determining if the URL is accessible. The phishing filter does not need to be trained, does not rely on black or white lists and does not perform keyword analysis. The filter may be implemented as an alternative or supplemental to prior art spam detection filters.
