Patent number: 11949589Abstract: Network traffic flows can be processed by routers, switches, or service nodes. Service nodes may be ASICs that can provide the functionality of a switch or a router. Service nodes can be configured in a circular replication chain, thereby providing benefits such as high reliability. The service nodes can implement methods that include receiving a first packet that includes a source address in a source address field and that includes a destination address in a destination address field, routing the first packet to a selected service node that is in a circular replication chain that includes a plurality of service nodes that have local flow tables and are configured for chain replication of the local flow tables, producing a second packet by using a matching flow table entry of the first packet to process the first packet, and sending the second packet toward a destination indicated by the destination address.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2021Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Pensando Systems Inc.Inventors: Krishna Doddapaneni, Sarat Kamisetty, Balakrishnan Raman, Chandrasekaran Swaminathan, Maruthi Ram Namburu, Vijay Sampath, Akshay Nadahalli, Pirabhu Raman, John Cruz

Patent number: 10922339Abstract: Portable globes may be provided for viewing regions of interest in a Geographical Information System (GIS). A method for providing a portable globe for a GIS may include determining one or more selected regions corresponding to a geographical region of a master globe. The method may further include organizing geospatial data from the master globe based on the selected region and creating the portable globe based on the geospatial data. The portable globe may be smaller in data size than the master globe. The method may include transmitting the portable globe to a local device that may render the selected region at a higher resolution than the remainder of the portable globe in the GIS. A system for providing a portable globe may include a selection module, a fusion module and a transmitter. A system for updating a portable globe may include a packet bundler and a globe cutter.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2020Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Manas Ranjan Jagadev, Eli Dylan Lorimer, Bret Peterson, Vijay Raman, Mark Wheeler

Publication number: 20200167394Abstract: There is provided a method and system to communicate information. The system receives a first query that contains a first constraint and retrieves a first plurality of data items from a database based on the first query. Next, the system generates a first distribution based on the first plurality of data items, the first distribution utilizing a first plurality of domains that are used to identify data items. Next the system generates a second distribution based on a plurality of requests to view a second plurality of data items. Next the system generates a third distribution based on the first distribution and the second distribution. Finally, the system generates distribution data to be included within an interface, the interface to include at least one interface element that is positioned on the interface based on the third distribution, the at least one interface element to respectively represent at least one domain.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 11, 2019Publication date: May 28, 2020Inventors: Seema Shah, Adam Nash, Raghav Gupta, Aditya Arora, Benjamin David Foster, Srikanth Subramaniam, Suhail Ansari, Xavier Stonestreet, Vijay Raman, Jean-Michel Leon

Patent number: 10474762Abstract: Systems and methods to communicate information are described. The system receives a query and retrieves a set of data items from a database based on the query. The system generates a distribution based on a count of data items from the set of data items that were retrieved for each domain in a set of domains and a count of requests to view data items from another set of data items for each domain in the set of domains. The system identifies whether the distribution exhibits a type of a distribution by comparing the distribution with at least one of a peak distribution and a hills distribution. Finally, the system generates interface information based on the type of distribution.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2016Date of Patent: November 12, 2019Assignee: eBay Inc.Inventors: Seema Shah, Adam Nash, Raghav Gupta, Aditya Arora, Benjamin David Foster, Srikanth Subramaniam, Suhail Ansari, Xavier Stonestreet, Vijay Raman, Jean-Michel Leon

Patent number: 10082847Abstract: A temperature of a component within the portable computing device (PCD) may be monitored along with a parameter associated with the temperature. The parameter associated with temperature may be an operating frequency, transmission power, or a data flow rate. It is determined if the temperature has exceeded a threshold value. If the temperature has exceeded the threshold value, then the temperature is compared with a temperature set point and a first error value is then calculated based on the comparison. Next, a first optimum value of the parameter is determined based on the first error value. If the temperature is below or equal to the threshold value, then a present value of the parameter is compared with a desired threshold for the parameter and a second error value is calculated based on the comparison. A second optimum value of the parameter may be determined based on the second error value.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2014Date of Patent: September 25, 2018Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Vijay Raman, Amy Derbyshire, Christopher Medrano, Shiju Abraham Mathew, Ronald Frank Alton, Jon James Anderson
