  • Publication number: 20200120454
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method for notifying a state of a plurality of members of one or more Mission Critical Service (MCX) groups to an MCX UE in a MC communication system. The method includes identifying, by the MCX server, state of each member of one or more groups. The method includes categorizing, by the MCX server, plurality of members of one or more groups based on identified state of each member. Further, the method includes notifying, by MCX server, state of plurality of members of the one or more groups to the MCX UE based on the categorization. The MCX services include MCData, MCPTT (Voice) and MCVideo communication services. In some embodiments, the state of the members of the MCX groups is notified over an eMBMS channel. In various embodiments, the state of members of MCX groups is notified when a Floor is granted to the MCX user.

  • Publication number: 20200067991
Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for optimizing resources in an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) in network, wherein a method includes receiving capabilities of contacts present in the contact book in response to a request sent by an OPTIONS applications server (AS) to the contacts present in the contact book. Further, the method includes aggregating the capabilities of the contacts present in the contact book. Further, the method includes transmitting the aggregated capabilities of the contacts present in the contact book to the UE through a PNT server. Further, the embodiments include fetching updated capabilities of user equipment (UE) by the presence AS through the PNT server. Further, the embodiments include receiving a metadata in response to the received service request using push notifications through the PNT server. Further, the embodiments include registering the UE with the IMS network, if the IMS client is capable of in-call service.

  • Publication number: 20190289439
Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose formats for MCData messages and notifications, and methods for coding (encoding and decoding) MCData messages and notifications in a MCData communication system. The method includes generating, by a first UE, an encoded MCData message or notification comprising of signaling payload and data payload content related to one or more MCData user payloads. Further the method includes deriving, by a second UE, the actual MCData messages or notifications by decoding the received encoded MCData messages or notifications. The formats for MCData messages and MCData notifications optimize control headers and allow maximum user data size that can be carried in a single message over signalling, which aids in sending multiple user payloads in a single message.
