The method of data traffic shaping comprises controlling a transmission rate of acknowledgements, the acknowledgements being transmitted in a high speed direction of a data connection and the acknowledgements acknowledging receipt of data being transmitted in a low speed direction of the data connection. An apparatus is configured to carry out the method. A wireless device may include the apparatus.
