An eccentric is rotatably coupled to the shaft and an eccentric bushing is coupled to the eccentric. A temperature sensor is attached to the eccentric bushing and directly measures the temperature of the eccentric bushing. A wireless transmitter is coupled to the temperature sensor, wherein the wireless transmitter transmits the measured temperature data.

    Abstract: A method of conical crushing to achieve the grinding of feed material includes narrowing the crusher setting beyond the specified minimum limit to enable the head to periodically exert high levels of compressive crushing force, interspersed with low pressure relief periods for mixing of the particles, the cycle of crushing periods corresponding with the gyrational cycle of the head. The method also includes increasing the releasing force exerted upon the crusher bowl to promote the grinding action of the crusher at its narrowed setting.

    Abstract: A feed prestratification attachment for classifying materials is configured to be secured to a vibrating screen unit so as to encourage stratification and more even distribution of the incoming feed material. The attachment includes a pair of side adapter plates separated by a horizontal mounting bar and a plurality of elongate rods affixed at one end to the mounting bar, the rods dimensioned so that the vibratory movement of the vibrating screen causes the rods to oscillate, thus permitting the rapid passage of undersize particles through the rods and the presentation of those particles to the screen, and enhancing the stratification of near-size and oversize particles.
