  • Patent number: 6315225
Abstract: An anti-spin mechanism includes fingers disposed at a bottom portion of a crushing gap. In this way, the anti-spin mechanism does not interfere with the crushing apparatus as do clutch-based, anti-spin mechanisms. The anti-spin mechanism relies on mechanical prohibition of rotation of the crusher head with respect to the bowl due to finger-on-finger engagement. The fingers can be mounted on mantles, bowl liners, bowls, housing, or crushing heads to achieve anti-spin functions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 2, 1999
Date of Patent: November 13, 2001

  • Patent number: 5820045
Abstract: A conical crusher having a rigidly supported outer frustoconically shaped crushing member and an inner conical crushing member supported on a wobble mechanism which is in turn supported by air bellows. The air pressure in the air bellows is regulated to adjust the spacing between the inner and outer crushing members, and therefore the particle size of the crushed material. The inner and outer crushing members are readily replaceable. The outer crushing member is a single piece bowl/bowl liner component.

  • Patent number: 5806772
Abstract: A conical gyratory grinder-crusher having a rigidly supported outer frustroconically shaped grinding-crushing member and an inner conical grinding member supported on a wobble mechanism which is in turn adjustably supported by air bellows so as to adjust the spacing between the inner and outer grinding-crushing members defining the grinding-crushing cavity, and therefore the particle size of the ground material. The bottom of the grinding-crushing cavity is closed by a flexible member. The flexible member seals the bottom of the grinding-crushing cavity. A slurry of fines or ground material is discharged from the grinder-crusher through grate discharge outlets provided in the lower portion of the inner conical grinding-crushing member.

  • Patent number: 5799885
Abstract: The residence time of material in the crushing cavity of a conical/gyratory crusher is controlled by providing the crusher with a flow restricting arrangement at the lower end of the crushing surfaces. The flow restricting arrangement includes a frustum, ledges or ring of outwardly directed fingers provided at the lower end of the mantle, which finger are interspaced with inwardly directed fingers provided at the lower end of the bowl liner. The flow restricting arrangement also includes a solid ring or a frustum provided at the lower end of the mantle.

  • Patent number: 5769339
Abstract: A conical gyratory mill for regrinding, milling or fine pulverization of materials, having a milling media, such as milling balls, located in the milling space between a milling bowl and a milling head. The material to be milled is introduced into the top of the milling space and is milled as it descends through the milling space by interaction with the milling balls, milling bowl and head. A fluid is introduced at the bottom of the milling space and is discharged at the top of the milling space, carrying with it material which has been milled to the desired degree of fineness.
