  • Publication number: 20240109080
Abstract: A separation device for separating impurities from a fluid to be cleaned has a separation body with a collecting region for impurities. A load determination apparatus determines an impurity load state of the collecting region for impurities. The load determination apparatus has a transmitter emitting electromagnetic waves, a receiver receiving the electromagnetic waves emitted by the transmitter, and an evaluation device. Transmitter and receiver are arranged opposite each other on opposite sides of the collecting region for impurities. The separation body at least in sections is at least partially transmissive for electromagnetic waves emitted by the transmitter. Transmitter and receiver are connected to the evaluation device. The evaluation device determines the impurity load state of the collecting region for impurities based on the electromagnetic waves received by the receiver. Such a load determination apparatus as described as well as a method for determining an impurity load state are provided.

  • Patent number: 11766680
Abstract: There is provided a filter sub-assembly that comprises a rotary vessel having a rotor body and a closure member to close an opening of the rotor body. The sub-assembly further comprises a liner that is receivable within the rotor body to line an inner surface thereof. The liner is also fluidly sealable to the closure member by a centrifugal force directed radially outwardly from an axis of rotation, about which the rotary vessel is rotatable. The sub-assembly has particular application in a centrifugal filter of a motor vehicle, for example for cleaning engine oil in an engine lubrication system.

  • Patent number: 11202978
Abstract: A liner for a filter sub-assembly has a wall having an innermost surface that bounds a cavity extending between opposing first and second ends of the liner. The wall has a deflected portion extending into the cavity and delimiting an opening. The liner may be used in a rotor of a filter assembly.
