Patent number: 12042394Abstract: A spinal implant device comprising a frame and a plurality of mechanical stiffness members extending from the frame, with the plurality of mechanical stiffness members being individually customized to provide a specific axial stiffness. The plurality of mechanical stiffness members may be coupled to the frame, and the plurality of mechanical stiffness members may be a plurality of wave-spring modules. A method of treating spinal disease includes determining actual spatial mechanical properties across a vertebral contact surface of a vertebra of a patient. The method may also include manufacturing a spinal implant device that has conforming spatial mechanical properties that are specific to the patient and that are based on the actual spatial mechanical properties of the vertebral contact surface. The method may include surgically implanting the spinal implant device against the vertebral contact surface such that the actual spatial mechanical properties and the conforming spatial mechanical properties align.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2019Date of Patent: July 23, 2024Assignee: The Regents of The University of Colorado, A Body CorporateInventors: Andriy G. Noshchenko, Evalina Burger-(Van Der Walt), Vikas V. Patel, Christopher J. Kleck, Ji Ma

Patent number: 10834010Abstract: Embodiments provide for mitigating priority flow control deadlock in stretch topologies by initializing a plurality of queues in a buffer of a leaf switch at a local cluster of a site having a plurality of clusters, wherein each queue of the plurality of queues corresponds to a respective one cluster of the plurality of clusters; receiving a pause command for no-drop traffic on the leaf switch, the pause command including an internal Class-of-Service (iCoS) identifier associated with a particular cluster of the plurality of cluster and a corresponding queue in the plurality of queues; and in response to determining, based on the iCoS identifier, that the pause command was received from a remote spine switch associated with a different cluster than the local cluster: forwarding the pause command to a local spine switch in the local cluster; and implementing the pause command on the corresponding queue in the buffer.Type: GrantFiled: October 26, 2018Date of Patent: November 10, 2020Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Saravanan Sampathkumar, Ajay K. Modi, Umamaheswararao Karyampudi, Vikas V. Patel, Gautam Venkataramanan

Patent number: 9954694Abstract: In one example, a method includes configuring a first provider edge (PE) router of a Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB) Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) to join an Ethernet Segment in active-active mode with at least a second PE router that is operating as a designated forwarder for the Ethernet Segment; receiving, by the first PE router from a remote PE router and prior to the first PE router performing Media Access Control (MAC) learning of a customer-MAC (C-MAC) address that is reachable via a backbone-MAC (B-MAC) address associated with the Ethernet Segment, a network packet that includes the C-MAC address; and in response to determining that the C-MAC address has not been learned by the first PE router and the B-MAC address included in the network packet is associated with the Ethernet Segment, forwarding, by the first PE router, the network packet to a destination identified by the C-MAC address.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2015Date of Patent: April 24, 2018Assignee: Juniper Networks, Inc.Inventors: Tapraj Singh, Arijit Paul, Sunesh Rustagi, Vikas V.
