Patent number: 9746853Abstract: A method and apparatus for traffic signal timing estimation are disclosed. Traffic signal timing estimation may include a vehicle identifying transportation network information representing a vehicle transportation network including an intersection. The transportation network information may include expected traffic control device state information corresponding to the intersection, such as a support vector regression based machine learning model trained for the intersection. The vehicle may identify a route through the vehicle transportation network that includes the intersection based on the expected traffic control device state information and may control the traversal of the vehicle transportation network by the vehicle based on the expected traffic control device state information to minimize one or more operational cost metrics. Training the model may include identifying training data from input data previously generated and stored by a traffic control device controller of the intersection.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2015Date of Patent: August 29, 2017Assignee: Nissan North America, Inc.Inventors: Robert Scheepjens, Ali Mortazavi, Vikram Krishnamurthy

Publication number: 20170222908Abstract: In an example implementation, a network topology map with storage paths between servers and storage volumes of storage arrays in a storage network through network switches may be generated. A network switch may be identified from the network switches in the network topology map as a bottleneck by monitoring a performance parameter for each of the network switches. The performance parameter is indicative of I/O load at a port of a respective network switch. Storage volumes in the network topology map and connected to the bottlenecked network switch may be identified, and storage volume I/O metrics associated with each of the servers with respect to the identified storage volumes may be aggregated. Based on the aggregated storage volume I/O metrics, at least one of the servers may be determined as a candidate for a root-cause of the bottleneck.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2017Publication date: August 3, 2017Inventors: Vijay Ram Sevagapandian, Vikram Krishnamurthy, Thavamaniraja Sakthivel

Publication number: 20170222886Abstract: In one example, at least one storage usage category for a storage volume identified for metering is determined. The at least one storage usage category may indicate how the storage volume operates to store data over a networked computing environment. Once the at least one storage usage category is determined, a usage value for the storage volume of the at least one storage usage category is obtained, wherein the usage value provides a measure of usage of the storage volume.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2017Publication date: August 3, 2017Inventors: Vijay Ram S, Vikram Krishnamurthy

Publication number: 20170220261Abstract: A storage space management system for a thin provisioned virtual environment may comprise an over-allocation computation engine to compute an over-allocation metric for a virtual datastore. The over-allocation metric may be computed based on virtual storage space allocated to corresponding virtual machines and actual physical storage allocated to the virtual datastore. Further, the over-allocation metric may indicate extent of over-allocation of the actual physical storage to the virtual datastore. An available space computation engine may determine an available space metric for the virtual machines based on available datastore space and available physical storage space. An analysis engine may obtain a time value indicating time left within which storage space available for the virtual machines would be utilized.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 17, 2017Publication date: August 3, 2017Inventors: Vikram Krishnamurthy, Vijay Ram Sevagapandian, Abhijit Chaudhuri

Patent number: 7610295Abstract: The method and apparatus is utilized in order to generate a persistent path to a SCSI device for a host. In an embodiment, a SCSI device is queried for path information related thereto, and if path information is returned, a SCSI command requesting identifier data is issued to the SCSI device. The identifier data is used to determine a unique identifier (UID), from which is generated a UID-based device file for the SCSI device that is independent from the path information.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2002Date of Patent: October 27, 2009Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Subramaniyam Pooni, Vijay Srinath, Vikram Krishnamurthy, Rajkumar Mangalore

Publication number: 20070222512Abstract: Sets of power amplifier branches (which comprise an RF/microwave amplifier stage) are power combined within each stage and each set of power amplifier branches are biased in different classes of operation by bias circuits possessing different impedance characteristics such that the fundamental frequency components present at the output are in-phase with one another and the IMD3 components are anti-phase over a broad range of power levels. The RF input signal is provided by the output of the previous stage of the RF/microwave amplifier. The output of each stage is formed by power combining sets of these power amplifier branches, each of which are separately biased, so the fundamental components are additive resulting in the maximum possible output power and the IM3 components cancel partially or completely.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 9, 2007Publication date: September 27, 2007Applicant: VT SILICON, INC.Inventors: Vikram Krishnamurthy, Tanveer Khanijoun, Kyle Hershberger, Jeremy Reed, Paul Pace

Patent number: 7069354Abstract: The method includes querying for one or more logical unit numbers (LUNs) pertaining to a small computer system interface device, each LUN representing a potential path from a host to the SCSI device. Response data indicative of multiple LUNs to the single SCSI device is treated as separate instances of independent SCSI devices, with each separate instance representing a different SCSI separate instances of independent SCSI devices, with each separate instance representing a different SCSI device structure. A unique identifier (UID) is calculated for each SCSI device structure, from which a device file is generated based on the UID and contains UID and path information that differentiates between multiple paths from the host to the SCSI device.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2002Date of Patent: June 27, 2006Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Subramaniyam Pooni, Rajkumar Mangalore, Vijay Srinath, Vikram Krishnamurthy
