Abstract: A reconfigurable cutting tool includes a boring head at one end, an attachment portion at a second end that is opposite the first end, and a boring bar disposed between the boring head and the attachment portion. The boring bar is made of a shape memory material such that a geometry of the reconfigurable boring tool is selectively changed in response to an activation signal from a temperature controlling processor.
