  • Patent number: 11176628
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a system for providing visual feedback to an associate when stowing packages into containers. As an associate carries a package towards a container, a camera disposed over the container captures an image of the package that a computer vision system uses to identify a barcode on the package. Using the barcode, the system can determine the desired destination of the package and whether the container the associate is approaching is the correct destination of the package. If so, the feedback system can activate a directional light on above the container which outputs a first color (e.g., green), thereby informing the associate that the container she is approaching is the correct container. However, if container is not the correct destination of the package, the directional light outputs a different color light (e.g., red) which informs the associate the container is the wrong destination for the package.

  • Patent number: 10915804
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe design techniques for generating a fingerprint for a shipping label using symbols or bit segments. These symbols or bit segments can be read using lower resolution cameras at greater distances than 1D or 2D barcodes in the shipping labels. In one embodiment, a label designer identifies blank zones in the design of a shipping label and selects symbols to place in those zones. The label designer can select random types of symbols and random sizes for those symbols. When reading the shipping label, a CV system can identify the symbols and their sizes and generate the fingerprint. In another embodiment, the label designer places bit segments in the identified blank zones. The CV system can then read the blank zones in a predefined order and merge the bits segments to form a digital fingerprint for the shipping label.

  • Publication number: 20190220861
Abstract: The system described herein can generate a vehicle token identified by the vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) upon manufacture of a vehicle and record the creation of the vehicle token on a distributed ledger. Throughout the life of the vehicle, the vehicle token can be updated with information regarding the vehicle (e.g., maintenance records, accidents, upgrades, owners, locations) and such information can be recorded on the distributed ledger. The system can mine and analyze the information recorded on the distributed ledger to determine a valuation or score of the vehicle, to advertise, and to connect potential buyers and sellers.

  • Publication number: 20140365508
Abstract: Systems and methods for scoring geographic locations and for providing related searching tools are disclosed herein. According to an aspect, a method includes receiving one or more property identifiers. The method also includes receiving geographic attributes for the one or more property identifiers. Further, the method includes assigning, for each of the one or more property identifiers, a weighting to each geographic attribute based on a distance of a property associated with the property identifier from a location of the geographic attribute. Further, the method includes assigning, for each of the one or more property identifiers, a score to the property identifier based on one or more weightings to the geographic attributes for the property identifier.
