Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus and computer program products are described for controlling content presented on user-controlled wireless device assets and/or features, such as ringtone, wallpaper, wireless device memory and the like. In present aspects, a user-requested control state change is undertaken from a user-controlled state to an advertisement-control state. In this regard, once the user has conceded control of the wireless device asset over to an advertiser or advertisement provider, the advertiser is allowed to provide advertisements to the designated wireless device asset for a predetermined period of time. From the advertiser or advertisement provider perspective present aspects provide for advertisements to be presented on novel platforms. Additionally, by gaining control over the wireless device asset the advertisers or advertisement providers are assured that their advertisements will be executed for the duration of the control period.

Abstract: A method for sharing data content is provided. The method includes aggregating requests to share data content across broadcast networks and re-broadcasting the data content based at least in part on the number of requests or a determined capacity of the broadcast networks.

Abstract: A method to create community channels is provided. The method includes defining a subset of channels from a broadcast network, associating one or more tags with the channels, and employing the tags to enable a community network from the broadcast network.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for bandwidth efficient transmission of usage information from a pool of terminals in a data network. A device includes transceiver logic to receive usage tracking and reporting parameters, wherein the usage tracking parameters identify events to be tracked and the reporting parameters identify reporting criteria for each event, scheduling logic to track the events based on the usage tracking parameters to produce a tracking log, reporting logic to process the tracking log based on the reporting parameters to produce a reporting log, and the transceiver logic to transmit the reporting log. A server includes processing logic to generate usage tracking parameters that identify events to be tracked and reporting parameters that identify reporting criteria for each event and a transceiver to transmit the usage tracking parameters and the reporting parameters to one or more terminals.

Abstract: System for message delivery to field personnel. The system includes a method for operating a server in a message delivery system. The method includes receiving a message for transmission to a recipient, and determining a message characteristic associated with the message. The method also includes obtaining contact information associated with the recipient based on the message characteristic, and transmitting the message to the recipient using a communication method indicated by the contact information.

Abstract: A system for providing online service reports to user subscribers. The service reports contain service information about services rendered by one or more service providers operating at the direction of a service administrator. The system includes a service hub coupled between the service administrator and the one or more service providers. The service hub receives an access message that defines access rights for the user subscribers. A decoder decodes the service information from one or more operational messages exchanged between the service administrator and the one or more service providers. A network server is coupled between the service hub and the user subscribers via a communication network. The network server receives a request from a selected user subscriber, and in response, provides at least a portion of the selected service information to the selected user subscriber based on the access rights.
