  • Patent number: 12642993
Abstract: A histotripsy therapy system configured for the treatment of tissue is provided, which may include any number of features. Provided herein are systems and methods that provide efficacious non-invasive and minimally invasive therapeutic, diagnostic and research procedures. Treatment planning systems are also provided for preparing and implementing a digital treatment plan. The treatment planning can include dividing a target tissue volume into a plurality of treatment locations, and controlling the speed, and pattern of movement between these tissue locations.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 23, 2024
Date of Patent: June 2, 2026
    Assignee: HistoSonics, Inc.
Inventors: Ryan M. Miller, Vladimir Perovic, Viktor Bollen, Jonathan M. Cannata, Alexander P. Duryea
  • Patent number: 12642994
Abstract: A histotripsy therapy system configured for the treatment of tissue is provided, which may include any number of features. Provided herein are systems and methods that provide efficacious non-invasive and minimally invasive therapeutic, diagnostic and research procedures. The systems and methods herein are configured to measure and display forces acting upon the therapy treatment head during a procedure. In some aspects, buoyancy forces from the acoustic coupling medium are also accounted for.

  • Publication number: 20250249289
Abstract: A histotripsy therapy system configured for the treatment of tissue is provided, which may include any number of features such as planning and implementation of an adaptive distribution of cooling periods across a treatment volume of tissue given various treatment depths and voltages. Provided herein are systems and methods that provide efficacious non-invasive and minimally invasive therapeutic, diagnostic and research procedures for tissue cooling. Other embodiments are described herein.

  • Publication number: 20250152135
Abstract: A histotripsy therapy system configured for the treatment of tissue is provided, which may include any number of features. Provided herein are systems and methods that provide efficacious non-invasive and minimally invasive therapeutic, diagnostic and research procedures. In particular, provided herein are systems and methods for acoustically coupling a histotripsy therapy system to the skin of a patient to provide targeted, efficacious histotripsy in a variety of different regions and under a variety of different conditions without causing undesired tissue damage to intervening/non-target tissues or structures.

  • Patent number: 12179041
Abstract: This disclosure describes devices, systems, and methods related to therapeutic ultrasound. An exemplary system includes a transducer configured to emit therapy ultrasound waves towards a therapy site and an ultrasound imaging device configured to emit plane wave ultrasound waves towards the therapy site. The system further includes a controller coupled to the transducer and the ultrasound imaging device. The controller is configured to send an activation signal to the transducer and send an activation signal to the ultrasound imaging device. The controller is further configured to receive image data from the ultrasound imaging device and generate bubble cloud image data based on the received image data.
