    Abstract: A method and apparatus to perform equalization and decoding for a communication system are described. The embodiments may be directed to a method and apparatus to equalize a first signal and decode a second signal. In an embodiment, the second signal may include comparing the second signal with an output signal of a first feedback module. The decoded second signal may be compensated using a second feedback module. An output signal of the second feedback module may be compared with the equalized first signal to calculate the second signal.
