  • Publication number: 20260292574
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) in a 5G NR network is configured for reference signal measurement and reporting for coherent joint transmission (CJT) from two or more transmission-reception points (TRPs). The UE may decode RRC signalling with reference signal resource set configuration information for inter-TRP calibration measurements of more than one CSI-RS resource set, reporting configuration information for reporting the inter-TRP calibration measurements for the one or more than one CSI-RS resource sets, and one or more trigger states. Each trigger state may comprise a list of associated reporting configurations indicating resource set IDs of the configured CSI-RS resource sets. The UE may decode a DCI format having a CSI request field triggering one of the one or more trigger states for the inter-TRP calibration measurement and the reporting.

  • Publication number: 20260280652
Abstract: An apparatus for a user equipment (UE) configured for operation in a New Radio (NR) network includes processing circuitry and memory. The processing circuitry decodes configuration information for one or more channel state information (CSI) reports received from a base station. The processing circuitry maintains a state of one or more CSI processors of the UE, each CSI processor associated with a plurality of CSI compute resources, the state indicating occupancy of the CSI compute resources at a time instance. For a CSI report, one or more CSI compute resources of at least one CSI processor are allocated based on the state. A CSI processing event is determined for the CSI report based on the state of the one or more CSI processors, and content of the CSI report is encoded for transmission to the base station based on the CSI processing event.

  • Publication number: 20260261318
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) configured for operation in a fifth-generation new radio (5G NR) network may be configured with a codebook type for a codebook-based physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission with eight antenna ports and up to eight transmission layers. The codebook type may have a coherency indication which may indicate one of a fully coherent codebook 2024/182102 type, a partially coherent codebook type and a non-coherent codebook type. A downlink control information (DCI) format scheduling the codebook—based PUSCH transmission with the eight antenna ports may indicate a transmit precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) index and a number of transmission layers for the PUSCH transmission. The UE may generate a precoding matrix (W) based on the TPMI index and the codebook type and encode a PUSCH for the codebook-based PUSCH transmission with the eight antenna ports and the indicated number of transmission layers by applying the generated precoding matrix.

  • Publication number: 20260019131
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices for configuring an uplink transmission for a user equipment device (UE) using eight transmitters. A network device may encode a precoder rank indicator for use in an eight-transmitter uplink transmission by a UE device; encode a precoder indicator, indicative of a precoder type, for use in the eight-transmitter uplink transmission by the UE device; and encode downlink control information (DCI) for transmission to the UE device, the DCI including the precoder rank and the precoder indicator.

  • Publication number: 20250274181
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for enabling channel state information (CSI) processing and reporting. A user equipment (UE) receives a CSI reporting configuration and measurements on CSI Reference Signal (CSI-RS) resources from a configured set, where some resources may be unavailable due to collisions or timing constraints. The UE measures CSI-RS on available resources from a subset, calculates and reports CSI based on the CSI-RS, with CSI-RS ports across resources used jointly for determining various values. When another subset is cancelled or dropped, the CSI is processed using zero channel power assumptions or adaptive precoding matrix calculations based on available resources. The UE calculates CSI performance metrics based on channel measurements and configuration parameters received from the network. The metrics quantify aspects, used by the UE to select appropriate CSI reporting configurations. The UE reports the metrics to the network or uses the metrics to adapt CSI content.

  • Publication number: 20250220675
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to optimized uplink transmission. A device may receive a configuration of a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource and a set of second PUCCH resources associated with a first PUCCH resource. The device may transmit a first uplink control information (UCI) part on the first PUCCH resource. The device may select a second PUCCH resource from the set of second PUCCH resources based on a payload size of a second UCI part determined from the first UCI part. The device may transmit the second UCI part on the selected second PUCCH resource.

  • Publication number: 20240292409
Abstract: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure a UE for multi-cell scheduling in a 5G NR network, and to cause the UE to perform operations including decoding higher layer signaling. The higher layer signaling indicates a number of cell groups configured to the UE. Each cell group of the number of cell groups includes at least two cells. DCI received in a PDCCH is decoded. The DCI includes a scheduling grant with time and frequency allocation for a PUSCH or a PDSCH in the number of cell groups configured to the UE. Uplink data transmissions via the PUSCH are scheduled in the number of cell groups or downlink data receptions via the PDSCH are scheduled in the number of cell groups based on the scheduling grant.

  • Publication number: 20240250766
Abstract: An apparatus and system are described for measurement and reporting of Channel State Information (CSI) prediction performance. A user equipment (UE) receives Channel State Information (CSI) Reference Signals (CSI-RS) from a 5th generation NodeB (gNB) at different time instances and performs perform channel measurements on the CSI-RS. The UE calculates a predicted CSI for a later time instance based on the CSI-RS and subsequently performs a channel measurement based on a CSI-RS received in the later time instance. The UE calculates an actual CSI based on the CSI-RS received in the later time instance. determines metrics based on a comparison between the predicted CSI and the actual CSI, and transmits the metrics to the gNB.
